  1. I don't like to get involved in all the drama, but, hears my 2cents for once, just because Ive been seeing it for so long. Seems to me that If you want to join a forum and not get kicked off you should follow said forums rules. If you don't want to post you full name and that's the rules, don't join. I just changed my signature line, cause I never saw it before, now its a rule, so I did it. I swear like a sailor (trust me I could put a sailor to shame with my swearing), forum rules say no, so I stop using even the !@#$%^. No big deal, get a thesaurus, you can find one free online. Do you swear in front of your Grandmother... no...it a respect thing, show it, its tough for me too. I'm sure most of us didn't examine the rule before signing on, but it seem like common sense to me, they say not allowed, so don't complain. Nobody is going to hack you from this forum. I know for a fact that "hackers" don't care about a forum such as this one, your full name DOES NOT HELP THEM!!!! I for one, would rather play by the rules and continue posting and learning form the other poster on this forum than argue about the rules. Really, are they that hard to follow? And that's as much drama as I'm willing to get involved in!!
  2. Taking pictures of a real car and posting them as a model just isn't right. Seriously though, absolutely amazing! Id love to see more pictures and some build photos.
  3. Im just posting here to make sure I did it right. Seems like the appropriate place to do so.
  4. The grille area look a little like a Bugatti! I like it.
  5. Anyone ever play the game Rollcage on the PS1, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xwgRsi2VDg, I know it doesnt show it,but you can drive up and walls and around tunnels loved that game, wish they would make an updated version. Also done in M.I.B., the first movie, Ive driven !alot! of Mercedes, and they are excellent cars, but not a chance that car can do what it does in that video. Believe me, I would have tried it if I thought I could. Still love the video though!
  6. I remember asking this question not to long ago. That's exactly what I use, and I always have great results. Just make sure you have a nice smooth finish when you shoot the black and you're good to go. Ive never had a problem with it not sticking, but I also try not to touch it to much when Im done.
  7. Done! Thank You! One more question. How do I get pictures into the gallery in my profile?
  8. I know I asked this awhile ago, and was pointed in the right direction. Where do I go to subscribe to the magazine? I swear I wont ask again, Ill just do it this time
  9. I was at the hobby shop today and almost bought some premade seatbelts. I have PE buckles and what not that I use all the time. I generally cut strips of masking tape for the belt itself, cause I can paint it and it sticks itself on. It doesnt look all that realistic though. Is there something that I might find around the house or cheap in bulk that would be more realistic?
  10. I only get about 1 in 10 of these right, but, Im going with real. I think I can see a dent in the hood when I zoom in.
  11. Love the color combo. Is that the ride height your going with? Cause it looks great slammed.
  12. I swear Ive seen one of these before, at least a picture, still no idea. Where do you find these!?

    Porsche 911

Ive been pretty lazy about posting pictures, but here are the finished pics of the 911 I rebuilt for my dad for fathers day. I think he liked it, but he's kinda hard to read sometimes. I had a little trouble getting the engine back together, one or two of the parts are still on my desk, but I don't think its noticeable since its tied down in a case now.
  14. I just ordered Atomic Orange Metallic paint from Scalefinishes.com for an upcoming Build. Ive used metallic paints before, and had disappointing results. Do I prime the body first? Do I have to use a silver paint as a base? Does anyone know If this paint will have to be thinned to be used in my airbrush, or is it made for airbrush use?
  15. Am I right in assuming that those jack stands work(as in, are adjustable)? If so, can you get them in smaller scales?
  16. I know I shouldn't say it, but I want one. I dont know why, cause its just so ugly.
  17. That's my answer for every "why did you do that?" I get from my girlfriend. I'm sure its also where most of our gotta have it, but don't really need it stuff comes from.
  18. You've given me some ideas for my box of "spare parts". Now I know what to do with all those spare (the ones the dog ate) bodies!
  19. Got this at the flee market for $9. Not what I normally buy, but I remember building one when I was little and thought it might be fun to do it again. This on the other hand is exactly what I would usually buy.
  20. I always forget to take before pictures, but here are a couple of after shots. I really just added the spark plug wires here. When I pulled out the engine most of the hoses and what not fell off, and I'm having trouble remembering where they go. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. I think it a Revell model, but I'm not sure. I cluttered up the car a little bit, magazines, a couple cassette's, and a bag of dorritos. This is clean compared to my dads real cars. Im hoping to finish up the paint on the body tonight. Black is a tough color, that's why I really haven't tried it in so long. It's looking better than the original paint job, but not as good as I'd like it.
  21. I was able to pop those off without a problem, they are in a box with a the little parts. I thought of filling them in to, but my dad's a little of a purist when it comes to his favorite cars. Ill be adding some new pictures tonight, gotta go to work now though. Thanks for lookin!
  22. This is a tough one. The stitching on the door looks real, but the seat looks a little fake.... I'm voting real.
  23. I will eventually be starting an Audi R8. I have a specific color that I would like to paint it and I know Ive seen a couple people use it, or something similar. I believe it is called Atomic Orange Metallic. Ive mostly seen it on the Corvette. Do I have to get real car paint for this color? Or is there a match someone may know about?
  24. As some of you may have seen, Ill be restoring 2 models that I built for my Dad over 10 years ago. Over the years some parts have been knocked off, and he wanted them fixed. I decided to some restoration instead. I havent told him yet, and am hoping to get this one done for Fathers day. First Thanks to Modlbldr for sending me replacement decals, this surely would have stalled at the end without him, and for requesting that I post some pictures. Ok ,onto the pics. I've only got a couple so far, I forget to stop and take pictures very often. This is how I got it. I had originally glued the hood and trunk?....that doesnt sound right.....whatever, in the open position. I didnt even know about aftermarket model parts that long ago, so this was just built out of the box. After disassembly and some prep work, the piece of tape on the back is so that I can salvage the decals back there. Thats most of the pictures Ive taken so far. Ill try to remeber to take them more often. I hadn't originally planned on posting this here. Thanks for lookin'
  25. I built that one a couple years ago, just box stock though. I cant wait to see where you go with it!
