  1. Is the Super Clean that I'm finding at all the stores the same as "Castrol Super Clean". I just don't want to get the wrong stuff to strip a model and have it warp the plastic or not remove the paint at all! Please help!!!
  2. It's an ambitious design but, I would like to see that car with a 59 Impala front end too!
  3. Cool car! Is it going to have T-tops or a full top? Have you ever seen the one in the movie Mystery Men?
  4. Have you guys seen my other concept cars? I've done a new Trans Am (based on the Kevin Morgan car) and I "fixed" the new Charger!
  5. what-cha think?
  6. Hey Harry, I've got that Cougar in my model room. I used the '69 Eliminator for the conversion!
  7. Well, for me as of late if I get a car past the primer stage I'm doing GERAT! When a car is finished I leave it alone unless repairs are needed due to travel to a show. My built cars just don't sit on an open shelf at home (the diecasts do) they sit in a glass curio cabinet. They look better that way and don't need dusting.
  8. A couple more for ya, how about The Wraith with Charlie Sheen, and does anyone remember the movie Thunder Run? Heck I even found an anime with a good car chase, it was called Gunsmith Cats. (67 Shelby vs Mercedes SL-500) No one has mentioned Hardcastle and McCormick ( I love the Coyote)
  9. The Starship began life as an early 70's Camaro! I saw this car up close at the Detroit Autorama. I thought it was a T/A, it has the shaker through it's Corvette hood. Here it is at Cobo Hall earlier this year!
  10. Well, we needed to add wheelie bars to the General cuz it has too much torque. After that, with a full interior it hit 43.43mph. Next Brian's gonna grind the inside of the body and maybe change to a lexan interior and windows. I need a better motor for the T/A, it only ran 38mph.
  11. I remember seeing this car up close in Cobo Hall, and race on TV. I like what you did with the wheels. I'll be looking forward to seeing the build up on this one.
  12. Check with Slixx, Fred Cady, or Keith Marks Decals. If they don't have that exact set you may have to combine a couple different decal sheets like I have to do on my Blue Max EXP funny car.
  13. Lol, so were the full size cars. My Bandit T/A began life as an'81 Turbo T/A Good job saving this one. I'll be looking forward to seeing what style you go with.
  14. Sweeeet! The Eliminator is my all time favorite street rod. I got to see it again in person this summer at the Henry Ford museum. I have one of these models in my curio cabinet. My Dad loves that car too. I'll be looking forward to seeing yours with the doors open! P.S. on my Eliminator I used Model Masters Italian Red with the Model Master clear. I matched it to a still image from the beginning of the "Gimme All Your Lovin" video. My Eliminator http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff96/Tr.../Picture077.jpg
  15. Bud has been one of my friends from the DMCC for 15 years. His work is always incredible, and he would never hesitate to give advice. Bud will be greatly missed.
  16. So, Frakenstein has a new Mustang?.........COOL!
  17. A heck of a chase alright, right into the girls locker room!
  18. Well.... if you're up to it you can make these cars. Take an existing body with a similar shape and cut up and reform them. For instance, I would make the Griffith out of a Datsun 280Z. You could make the Sagitarious out of a Viper GTS Coupe
  19. You 've got my vote for a flame job! Here's one I saw in St Ignace (Michigan) earlier this year!
  20. You mean like this?............. Sadly that body is in such bad shape I plan to clone this car at a later date.
  21. I'm just a LITTLE partial to Smokey and the Bandit! My other favorites are the Dukes(the series) the new Gone in 60, Bullitt, Cannonball Run I and II, the origional Herbie, and the newest FnF!
  22. OK, one thing that all the doomsday talkers on TV and what not neglected to mention is that these callendars that "END" in 2012 also had a beginning. Yes the Myan callendar ends 12/22/2012, but it BEGINS 8/11/3114BC. So, did the world begin on 8/11/3114bc?..........NO! One thing that does worry me though is some nut with a large weapon that does believe the world will end. And come on 12/22, two days before Christmas, that would stink!
  23. There are two types of cars that I like most, TV/movie cars and wild customs. I love the attention the TV/movie cars get, but building them you can't really use any more creativity that has already been thrown at the car. When I go to Autorama I love to stare at those cars with hundreds of hours into the bodywork, see how all the lines flow togther, and wonder if I would do anything different.
  24. Ah Ha, I'm trying to get another theme song for you. I just can't figure out how to get it to post here.
