My golden Lion, now with "cat's eyes" marbles. Someone littered, found it under a bush at the end of my street. Daughter hauled it home. The front paws are broken off, finally have a big enough rock to keep him from doing a face plant. Many years of new spray paint, like the Cadillac Ranch in a way. ?

Never would know it's resin. Same year I was born, but raised with a Mercedes of a completely different world. Always loved these fins, should have a back-up alarm.

I've heard more stories about Choppers getting stolen, than parents purging your stuff. Similar to models, come to think of it. We have been having some awesome sunrise/sunsets lately. The iPhone weather app showed no rain possible for about 10 days, zip zero nadda. Girlfriend's weather app showed possible rain. It's really coming down this evening, Arizona needs all we can get. I camped out on the end of a Forest Service road on a bluff, and did a rain dance. There was some sunset driving out. Wow was it worth the very cool breeze early this morning, very pleased I got all the camping gear packed into the shed before it started raining.

What Did You See In Your Yard Today?
89AKurt replied to Tim W. SoCal's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I hope where everyone in the neighbor goes for walks, counts as my yard....... This year saw my first Mountain Lion, just across the street from home, was about 14 feet from it when I walked by before getting on my neighbor's porch. A few days ago, I had a Coyote stalking me. We have a field, part BLM, the other Arizona, where people walk. I was on the mountain bike this time. It actually crouched down into the grass, of course I didn't get video of that, but it sure didn't act scared. Since Turkey spotting seems to be in season, not near home, but saw 8. -

Love the weathering! What is the purpose of the tilted forward windshield? Store front windows used to be tilted. -
I know those are "collectible" kits, awesome to see one get built! Interesting interior color, 007 Kermit would love it. ?

I'm still behind...... the other day I wanted to launch rockets again, but when I got to the range, there was a constant wind. ? So instead I shot guns. Pleased there is a place where we can go without having to pay. The rifle is a Sears .22, my dad had it with his other guns in the safe, like an orphan. He had a file card record, think he got it in 1936. Or someone else (initials carved in the stock were not his) cut the barrel down, and butchered off the end of the stock. I totally reworked the beautiful grained stock, slimmed down the shape to a true Sporter. Also found the Ziess scope elsewhere in the estate and wondered why he had it, then I figured out the mount worked perfect, and the gun shop said it was sighted in already. I'm pleased that I could hit the target. No cops showed up either. ?

This was Saturday, I'm catching up. ? Exactly what I did, she just moved here, and never been around because she was always tending her house for 11 years. She was complaining about work keeping her at home all the time. So I took her on a guided tour, on back roads to really confuse her. ? First time I've seen Turkeys up there, stopped the engine and watched them casually wander around, like Thanksgiving isn't coming.

Shot rockets this morning in Chino Valley. This was a very satisfying launch. Then the cops showed up. They saw no problem, wanted to see it go higher is all.

Since I have this in the stash, of course I love it! To add detail such as the spare tire is awesome. The headlights operating, I have trouble enough with trunk or door hinges! Awesome that you completed it!

What did you see on the road today?
89AKurt replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If someone wants to debate if this falls under "on the road" or not, go for it. ? I was on the road known as 89 going through Chino Valley and saw this Ford. I see many classics every time I go out, but don't have the phone ready. I was on the way to camp out. -

You didn't stuff a V8 in? ? Good job getting it built, more than I've done for about 18 months. A subject I am sort of tempted with, but want the GT. Was there a right mirror for the door?
