When you import the file into your computer, change the name then. I believe when you right click on something in the PC world(Mac user), you have an option of "save as...". You need to use that function. When you do, there is a chance to rename the file. just click in the box with the file's name and type what you want in place. After they are on your hard drive, I'm not sure on your machine. I hope I helped a little bit.

You know.... Looking at that badge, I think it looks like a Lotus. Maybe a prototype........

I think Nick's is a Vauxhall. It kinda looks like an Opel GT but it's RHD.... Vauxhalls are supposed to be the RHD Opels. It's really a guess.... I haven't a clue.

Thanks guys! George, the engine came out of AMT's Vintage Police car 27 model T phaeton reissue by Stevens International. Same with that drop axle up front. I did have to take about 5/8" from the middle to keep the tires under the fenders, though. That's just one of the areas where the scale deficiency is apparent . As for the chop.... I saw too many chopped ones being built around me so, I wanted to do it as a phonebooth to be different.

Yeah, I would have thought that too.... But when I Googled "Wellsboro golf courses" That was the spelling on the website for them. Hmmmmmm..... http://www.golflink.com/golf-courses/cours...p?course=988145 If you check the address, it's definitely the same place you're talking about. I wonder who taught them how to spell????

Here's the latest completed build from my bench. I took one of the recently reissued Lindberg 25 Tall T's and did a quick and dirty build-up. I used the Fronty and the front axle from the Vintage Police car reissue from Stevens of recent as well. The wheels are the wires from the Lindberg 34 P/U. Everything else is out of 'da box. I had some real fun building this. The tooling is really showing it's age by how primitive it is. The flash and sink-marks weren't bad, but the mold lines were pretty big. Scale seems to be under, too. Fun kit, but don't expect a lot of detail. Thanks for looking!

I think Lindberg has that same tool now and is reissuing it right now. Here is the boxart: It sure looks like the same tool.... Anybody know for sure?

Can't say I even knew about it before you asked as I don't do much with golf but drive around the car that shares a name with the game. I believe the country club you're talking about is now called Tyoga Country Club. I actually haven't been up there in probably 5 years or more. The race is in the national parks around Wellsboro and the cars only hit town twice between the stages. It is a lot of fun but it involves a lot of travelling. Even once you are there, the cars only pass certain spectator points twice a day and they are usually 8 hours apart. With the price of fuel now(I know, this year's cliche...) and a 4 1/2 hour drive just to get there, its getting to be an expensive vacation. I can say some of my best memories were from the Wellsboro Diner. Great nostalgic stainless steel diner from the 50's. Great food and service and prices are more than fair.

That is one KOOL 36! You have quite a few really cool built-ups, there Gramps! You are faced with a tough call.... Clean up all the old ones or start the new ones. Better you than me! Do I spy an old Lindberg 25 Tall T in the last pic? I just finished one of the re-pops, just need to post it.

Who do you think got first vote?

I do the same. Poster tack is really convenient for doing mockups. I bought a package for 99 cents somwhere recently and I gotta say, it works great. No residue and it removes easily. A small amount goes a long way. I have enough to probably put about a third of my unbuilts together with the stuff with only one pack! I just pull a chunk off and then pull a smaller chunk off of it. Usually when I have a piece that I swear is too small, it is just right. Pacer corp. makes the product I found under the Original Super Glue brand name.

Good progress! These 29 A roadster's are really fun to build. I can't wait to build the one in my backlog.

OK, it's an EPA tractor with Volvo 142 body panels hung on it..... those door handles and shoulder line are VOLVO.
-
Looks like a Volvo 142 GT(?) from the seventies....

That is some kind of 928 conversion I've never seen before. I'll be interested to know more. Looks like a cool idea!

MEL= Mercury Edsel Lincoln

Yeah, I spent a while drooling over that one at NNL too! I mean, Who wouldn't with it looking like this: I thought I had a rear shot of it, but no. Ahh, I'll probably get to see it again this year somewhere. Very well done, Irv, as usual. That paint is one hell of a pick! It's also one hell of a subtle shifter too.... I've seen about four different shades in pics and person so far.

Here's one for Nick. * I'm sure CAL and a few others will know this one. Please let Nick see this before answering. * OK, I want a little info about what it is besides just the ID. (Since you are on a minivan kick right now.... )

How about a '63 Datsun NL320?

You really know what's under that hood, huh? I'm not gonna guess unless I already know the car. It is impossible to tell what's under that hood in the pic you posted. Oh, that 86-88 Omni GLHS looks like a VW but I know better.

I'm not sold on the VR6. That car could be a diesel and no one would be the wiser. Besides, someone other than the factory would have to put that six in there anyway.
-
What you talkin' bout, Willis? Look at the doors and the windshield pillars.... So what kind of car was that kit-car built on, again?
-
OOOOO ooooo!!! I so know this one! Its' not a Ferrari 250 GTO!!! ( actually some kind of kit on a 240Z )
-
That turned out great! I know everything I've built for the past 6 months has pretty much been older than 1970, but that doesn't mean I don't like modern stuff. They are what kept my interest in rods until the resurgence in traditional came about. Very well done on this one, Mike. Very well done indeed. I can only give you ###### about those headers burning off that beautiful paint on the cowl and doors in the first 30 seconds after first starting it up!
