  1. Mazda Cosmos/ RX-5/ 121 ....not sure about the landau top though.
  2. All is normal for me. I do run a Mac with Safari as my browser, so that may be why.... You guys just reminded me how much pop-up ads suck. I almost forgot about them....
  3. If it's hockey instead of soccer....
  4. A "chamois" (pronounced: shammy) is the skin-like cloth you dry a car with. (It is more like leather than cloth, though....) Any auto parts store and most department stores will carry them in their auto care section. It is best to spend a bit on this one; meaning, don't try to find the cheapest one out there. Quality matters. The way Cruz showed me involves no other rags/cloths. I apply the liquid with my finger then wait til it dries a bit and buff the area while constantly rotating the chamois. You want a fresh surface as much as possible. When it gets dirty, you can machine wash it. I use it with the polishing compound step and the wax step. There is no chance of lint or stringys catching on corners and pulling pieces off of the cloth. Hope this helps!
  5. Make that times three! Cruz showed me this one but credited Bill for it. Best $15 I've spent on finishing products.
  6. 1918 Stanley model 735B Thanks for the nudge Sam! NEXT!!!
  7. It IS something usually found in an automotive application, right? Not a marine engine is it? I'm baffled too. Any more clues?
  8. I'm not the only one here that'll say Plastikote T-237 is the best out there. It can be difficult to find, however. I can order it from a supplier at work so I'm fortunate. In fact, I have used all four of the available colors and all of them are truly excellent. Plastikote makes another white sandable primer that comes in a can like this: It is a good primer too, but it isn't the same. I can't complain about it, but it doesn't seem to cover as well as the T-237 does. I'd be willing to bet the stores that carry Plastikote(besides craft stores) can probably order it from their supplier if one were to ask the manager about it.
  9. I was mistaken about the diesel.... I thought I saw a glow plug light in the instrument cluster. Your other pic shows no such light!
  10. How about a late 70s Citroen CX?
  11. I don't know what it is but, I can tell you it is a diesel. It also looks very European from the early 70s. (I wanna say French....) How close am i?

    'Cuda complete!!!!

That's what I said about his Merc before he won anything with it. Seriously, this Cuda is freakin' sweet! Like Nick, I hope to see you at the Street Rod nats next weekend. That muscle car will steal some of the glory from the hot rods..... they better watch out!!! (All you guys buying up these Johan Cudas made me want to be part of the action.... I had to pick up that Johan Dart at the MAMA NNL. )
  13. I think it looks a lot like an Aston Martin........
  14. How about a 1941 GAZ 61-73? Took about 10min at work(shhhhh! ) to find it with google.
  15. OK, I'll bite..... a 1936 GAZ
  16. = Isuzu, blech! I don't think it is..... I wanna say late 60s Mazda.....
  17. Ok, I'll guess the year. How about a 77(?) Datsun bullet side pickup.
  18. Great work Izzy! This came out great! Yet another super high caliber build from a master. I love the overall look, but that interior is just tops! I still have the most difficulty with interior detail, and yours just gives me a higher target to shoot for. Keep up the great work!

    `34 coupe.

Nice work! Very cool idea. The suspension is a given, but the whole drivetrain is something I hadn't thought of. That did start out as a snap-tite kit, right? You gave me a few ideas, too!
  20. Its an 80 or 81 "S" model. I had one that was Mars Red(very orange), same model. This is just a quick pic I found to show the similarities.
  21. This car: has parts from one of these cars: Those doors, mirrors and front of roof are Scirocco.
  22. No way to tell from your pic. All of the first gen years had the same tail lights. Give us a pic without as much cropping. You gotta play fair!
  23. Whatever it is now, I don't know..... I can tell you that car rolled off the assembly line originally as a VW Scirocco, around 75-78 vintage. That pic is quite the amalgamation of 80's stuff. I see maybe Ford LTD or Granada front clip. Weird!!! ....and YES to Dragon7665! CORRECT!
  24. Ouch, that hurt! I know, that was one of the dumbest things I've ever done. It only had 75K miles on it when I sold it....... ;) I need to go cry for a while.......
  25. I'm sure Nick posted this one for me. I want to see who else knows this one. (yes Nick, I do know what it is.... A car guy should be able to id their first car; even from only about 6 square inches! )
