  1. Thanks guys! I figured this kit didn't get built too much as a fenderless rod so...... I'm actually starting with a new kit and using the builtups for donors. I may build something with the leftovers or I may donate them to the monthly raffle. As for the gentleman's name I bought them from.... I didn't catch it. He is a regular at the meetings, and he usually has around a dozen with him. I've bought a few from him in the past too.
  2. Looking good, Milt! I have one of those and I bought it for the engine. I'll build it but the flattie goes in a rod! I gotta say, that interior is better than any of my efforts. Good job! Keep em coming. Those wheels come with the kit, Dirk.
  3. Wow! You know, you're letting too many secrets out this way! Pretty soon we're all gonna be turning out these high quality builds and yours are just going to look mediocre! If you could answer one Q for me, where did you get the Rub-n-Buff tubes?
  4. I'm afraid that hatch is nothing more than ones and zeros.... It is still a really amusing pic though!
  5. Here's the color I picked out. It's a really dark blue from VW's color palate. .....and a quick mockup:
  6. It almost looks like one of the VW prototypes..... one of the really early designs but I really think I'm wrong.
  7. Here is my latest on the bench. I wound up with two built up Monogram Little Deuces after the Feb club meeting. I also bought a couple new kits and when I got home I was checking them out and one of them was the Revell/Monogram Basic Builder 32 roadster. Yaaay.... I have THREE of them now... Well, I figured I'd make some lemonade. I wasn't too happy with the frame and fenders being a whole unit so I had to do some thing about that.... Once the fenders were gone, the frame was really thin in a few places. Of course, Had to clean that up too... Since I'm starting with a recent issue kit and I'm using an older issue engine, I had to redo the engine mount configuration... The reason all this madness started was this mill, as found, with the 73 issue builtup: I'm only going to wire it up and blackwash it. No need to mess up a good find. More to come.
  8. I don't know, but it looks like a cross between a BMW bike and a Ski-Doo snowmobile!
  9. Correct! A Facel Vega Facel II

  11. I wonder if it's a Studebaker......... Hmmmmmmmmmmm.................................

  13. MrMike's is the Rapport Forte shooting brake.
  14. Another great build from the master! Looks great, Lyle! I need to get one of these to put near the top of the 'to build' queue. First Craig's and now yours..... They're really gettin' to me now!!!
  15. Looks great Raul! I wouldn't know what to say if a friend gave me a dio like that. Fantastic! I need to do a dented and really beat up model. Maybe I need to start one and just pick away at it.....

  17. Your car spits out broken metal pieces!!!
  18. I think this one is another Ford...... How about a Cortina with the Lotus package????
  19. Looks great, Tom! You reminded me that I don't need to do all my colors glossy..... Satin colors are OK too!
  20. That is a Bricklin. I'm not sure where it was made(Canada?), though. I believe they had either 302s or 351Ws, but definitely a Ford small block.
