  1. Years ago, my cousin had just that; a 76 Pinto wagon on a Bronco chassis! His only had 33" tires on it though..... We all called it the roller skate because it looked just like one! I have to say it was a lot less pleasing to the eye than this one! I'm still wondering how you could take two ingredients that can sicken people and combine them to create something way more than palatable... Job well done, hats off to you!
  2. Man, gettin' old must be a bitch! How about: Roadster Pick Up? I know Jim beat me, but I still can't resist!
  3. All better now! I'm usually pretty good at catching that. I wonder what causes it.....
  4. Here's the latest off my bench. I decided to use some of the leftover parts from the last build for another. I used the frame, rear, grille, and headlights from the 29 roadster gluebomb. The rest were spares from the parts box. Here's a pic of the start pile: Thanks for looking!
  5. Looking good, my man! The wheels are perfect! Interior work is still something I need more practice on too. Yours just makes it even more obvious to me. Have fun at NNL and I hope you get it done in time!
  6. Gotta agree. The front bumpers look so good in chrome, you'll see them hanging off the front of other makes of mini trucks! This is really cool, Mike. The styles work really well together.
  7. Looks good! That 302 is cool. Thats why small blocks are so popular today; because they fit really well. Keep the updates coming!
  8. Looks great, Raul! Paint looks fantastic. You'll have to hand out numbers at NNL to people that want to photograph it, there'll be so many! Make sure you check that blower belt tension before you make any passes down the strip, though.... hate to see anything break.....
  9. That's moving right along! I think the black and green will look great together. It kind of reminds me of the Mr. Yuck stickers from years ago. I'm sure you didn't have them in 'ol Blighty so I'll fill you in. Us Yanks used them on household chemicals to keep kids from drinking them. They were black and bright green with a "yuck" face(gross, not ha ha) on them. There's a name for the build for you! Here's a pic:
  10. Wow! I actually know the answer!!! That's a first! Harry, I will find your source one of these days. It's just a matter of time.....how much time is the problem! Now, how did I vote? I forgot already....
  11. Looks great, Andy! It's nice to see another finished one from your camp!
  12. Nice work so far! I like the Nailhead engine. Its a funny coincidence that I'm working on one right now too. I wound up with three of those after the last club meeting I went to. Two of them were built ups and one was the Basic Builder issue. One of the builtups had the Pontiac engine. It was the nicest part of all three. So nice, in fact, all I'm going to do to it is wire the magneto and blackwash it. I am building the new kit with the old engine and I already have the fenders cut off the frame and the frame's all cleaned up now. Quite a different path for each of us, eh? Keep us posted, I want to see how yours turn out!
  13. That's not fair... GM made plenty of cars like that in the 80's!
  14. Don't you ever change that shirt, Gregg?

    32 Rat Rod

Good job! The rust and welds look pretty good. I really like the suicide shifter! You better watch it.... I built my first "dirty" rod back in November and I can't think about building anything else right now! Rods are really addictive!
  16. Excellent! A nice departure from the Revell Mercs at the moment. I love the front end treatment and that black is positively liquid!
  17. NIiiiiicccee motor work! That looks killer! Now, at least you can move on to the next part of the model to treat as a model. Both sedans are cool ideas too. The Ny-Quil bottle in the shots is a nice touch..... Sorry to hear about the influenza outbreak on your homefront. Glad to hear you're feeling better and don't get that little girl of yours sick!
  18. I noticed you changed it yesterday, Raul. I like it! When its reduced like that, the blower looks like a tank that has a pulley and belt bolted through the front of it. The black "brackets" look like rubber bungee straps holding the bug-catcher down to the top of the tank. Definitely hilarious! Do you have an unreduced shot?
  19. I'm sure that it must have been '73 because Central Pa is on some kind of six month lag on new music releases. It's funny you say that song was over played back then. I thought that was just something that has happened in the last 20 years. Boy was I wrong. It's been going on longer than I've been alive!
  20. Very cool! Can't go wrong with Norm's stuff; his products are tops! You have the stance perfect, don't need to lower it any more. Thanks for the update. This rod is gonna be killer!
  21. It was the May/June issue (MCM#123). Here's the info: Dave's Hobby Shop 384 Atlantic Ave. Freeport, NY. 11520 516-623-2750 No website but He does have email: Dave's Hobby Shop Email Enjoy!
  22. Yet another beaut, Lyle! That Ardun looks much better hanging out of a rod's rails than buried in a '50s pickup engine bay!
  23. No, for some reason they aren't all in there. I know my current one isn't in there and neither are all the ones randbugeye or stanleymsn(to name but two examples I chose to look for) have been using lately. I still don't know why.... I wonder if the "bank" is full?
  24. This site has a bank of avatar pics. If you don't import one, You can chose from ones already in the "bank". When I set mine, I saw yours listed in there, so that's where the new folks are geting it from.
  25. I love it! That is one really evil chop job. Any hop ups planned for the flatty? Keep us posted!
