  1. Heee heee! These guys are waaayy off! Should I tell 'em, Nick? (hint, it isn't Japanese.)
  2. How about an EPA Traktor? (not sure of spelling) This came up on this thread already, I'm sure of it.
  3. Real men don't eat salad or use utensils!
  4. X2 (Actually, I surf on a PC at work and no issues there.)
  5. Sorry I missed this one the first time it was at the top. Very righteous build! I watched the under construction posts and I was diggin' it the whole time. Great result! The white with black is perfectly timely. It is really big in the import scene right now. Particularly the VW scene. This is sooo appropriate, it's not funny! It just works! I wanted to tell you, your work motivates me to stray from the hot rod builds I love so much. Nothing wrong with that! If you liked my Comet, wait until you see the next Pro-touring build I have up my sleeve!
  6. Since you mentioned the Hellas, I want to tell you I would NEVER hang a set of those Hellas under the bumper on any lowered car. Those particular lights are the Black Magic set and IIRC, cost $300-400!!! Only on top of the bumper! They would get damaged soooo easily that low. Oh, it's actually a Mk2 Golf, Mike. I've got two of 'em, and I love 'em! edit: Nick, do you actually find labeled pics or are you guessing again?
  7. Looked like a Bugeye Sprite. Not too much to see though.... Although, with the name of the video being "Best Car There", and you being the son of an owner of a Bugeye Sprite, then I suppose my guess was spot on? (Geez, I sound like Sherlock freakin' Holmes! )
  8. That was one very sanitary BMW 2002. I have seen that particular one in person and I can tell you it is spotless!!!
  9. Try this link:http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7947 This is the tutorial that used to be pinned at the top of the General section. Quite thorough. HTH!
  10. Very well done! From what I've seen of the rest of your builds, it's par for the course. I really like this one because I don't usually like the Challenger, (just the Cuda) but yours makes me want to build one! Great Job!

    64 Comet

Thanks guys! Marc, they are the 19s. I thought the blackwash would tone them down a hair as they were bordering on blingy. Seems to have worked as planned! The finish is decent in the pics but trust me, I am learning from Raul. Hide the boogers with your photo angles, lighting and focus!
  12. Pretty much nailed it for me with this one. I really dig how this worked out. It's also one of those that might not look right on paper either. Sure looks right in styrene!

    64 Comet

I just finished this one today and was fortunate enough to have good weather for photos. It is the Model King reissue and remains curbside. I was only intending it to be a paint and foil exercise. I didn't do the greatest bodywork under this paint and there are some boogers here and there, but overall I'm happy with it. Paint is the discontinued HOK spray Tru Blue Pearl over Testors new Diamond Dust lacquer. Thanks for looking!
  14. Does it still smell like paint??? That looks great, Cruz! That's one I haven't seen before. Same caliber as the rest of your builds, fantastic! (Don't you mean 50 F1? If you want to change the title, you can by editing the first post. PM me for instructions if you need them )
  15. Early to mid 80s Audi 80 setup for road racing.
  16. No, that Ford motor has a VW alternator on it! Actually they are Bosch alternators on both. This one, when on a VW, is only for 16V motors.
  17. Yup. Just don't call it a Traditional Rod! (....and BTW, Virg, I love both of 'em! )
  18. Hey, that's got my alternator on it!!!!
  19. Is it a Ferrari V8? 308 or older? Although blue valve covers generally aren't found on Ferrari motors..... Maserati?
  20. How about an 80s Elcamino with a Buick noseclip?
  21. This is some freak Brit concoction. It looks like the 3cyl turbo diesel from the Lupo and Polo installed in a Mk2 Scirocco!!! ;) (It looks lost in there!) This is another British creation. It's a Mk3 Jetta (Vento over there) with a 24 valve VR6 running more ITB's! and this I'm not sure about this one.... I can tell it's supposed to mid mounted, so that seems to rule out any German metal. Is it Italian?
  22. Do you see the red dipstick?(it's in between the middle trumpets) 2.0L motors have a gray one. (Blocks are different enough to warrant a different dipstick. )
