  1. This is ONE HALF of the display room. 407 pics are a click away: http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model_car.../nnl-east-2009/
  2. I guess I'm lucky. All the motors in my spray cans seem to be working fine.
  3. Wow. Wish I had this kind of help packaging those license plates. Bob K. generally gets them to my house about 2 days before our show and my wife and I do all this for an entire evening, until we can't see straight.
  4. Ted does it again. The man never fails to amaze me. Beautiful car.
  5. If you had a long abstinance for 30 years, you might want to ask your wife where your son came from. These forums just crack me up!
  6. The Columbia 2 speed rear was developed for use with Ford flatheads. They would NOT be compatible with small block Chevy V-8's.
  7. Over 1000 modelers will be there. Let's just wait for the other 991 people to respond.
  8. If you can do it in the 1:1 world, you should be able to do it in 1/25th.
  9. Here's some more pics.
  10. The man-cave About 18 years ago, I was going to replace the molding on the bottom of this showcase. Maybe I'll get to it some day. The actual work area. Some of the aftermarket stuff. All of the kits are stored in the laundry room on several metal shelving units. No pic of that, but you've all seen the same old kits lots of times anyway.
  11. All you need is regular car wax on a cotton ball. Polish the entire windsheild and it will look better than when it came out of the box.
  12. You are uploading the thumbnails to the forum. You have to first open the thumbnail to full size, THEN upload it to the forum.
  13. Lots more here: http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model-clu...meeting-442009/
  14. The old tan plastic in the "old tool" 'AMT '57 reissue is somewhat softer than current white plastic. I just carefully and repeatedly cut along the edges of the trim until it came off.
  15. For those with memories like mine, this is what I started with a couple weeks ago. 150 trim was sanded off and replaced with trim from an "old tool" AMT '57 . After adding the door-top trim pieces from plastic strips, it was painted Duplicolor white and Krylon "color matches cap" ( ) green. It has a few coats of clear lacquer which is NOT polished yet. Wheels were thinned from behind and the cooling slots opened. Valve stems added. Old AMT Firestones have Polly Scale White painted sidewalls. Ground away the molded grille from the back and added a Model Car Garage photoetched grille. Modified the door panels with the correct 210 trim and added the rear window cranks and arm rests (which were optional in '57). Still have to add more paint and BMF. Cut out a rear seat from an old Monogram '57 and widened it. Redid the trim on both seats. That's all for now.
  16. Killer build Chris. I wouldn't expect anything less. Fantastic details. Now,,,,,,,,,let's work on your grammer. Repeat after me: For those WHO are interested, it's finished.
  17. I'm mastering a B400,,,,,,at some point,,,,,,,,in theory! I've got the correct rear window shape, I just have to do the rest of the body For those who don't want to wait for the daydreams to become reality, Replicas & Miniatures Co. of Maryland has the '32 Ford pickup complete resin kit (with or without fenders) and , of course, the sedan delivery body. No, it isn't just Lindberg '34 parts casted in resin. Each and every part was changed to reflect accurate '32 parts and made to fit the Revell '32 kits.
  18. John - you got the wrong guy. Harold Bradford operates Historic Racing Miniatures. Email :historicracingminiatures@comcast.net or call him on the phone. His number is in the club directory.
  19. Gee, and you actually got your copy on April first! I'll probably have to wait 3 1/2 more weeks for mine to finally get here.
  20. Replicas & Miniatures Co. of Md. sells PERFECT red line tires (or even tyres). These are black resin tires with very thin red resin inserts. (Model built by Charley Magers) There are many kits with redline decals for the tires. They can also be painted with a draftsmans compass. http://trakinscale.proboards.com/index.cgi...amp;thread=1574
  21. I've told people I do the same thing and they are shocked. They think we all re-engineer every kit and take them to Salt Lake! They're just models. Make them look cool and move on to the next one. When you're dead, the wife will sell them for a dollar or give them to some little kid to play with.
  22. No. The AMT '72 Novas have bucket seats also. I've been told that the bench seat in the AMT '70 Impala is a good starting point for a Nova bench seat, but I haven't tried it myself.
  23. Yep. All interiors were black.
