I grew up in the 70's and the guy 2 doors down was a Ford man. I remember like it was yesterday seeing his '64 Galaxie 500 in red. I loved those tail lights. Well when I saw this at Ollie's a couple weeks ago for 12 bones, I had to have it. I picked it up and noticed the box is a little bit smaller than the usual model kit. Eager, I started in. I popped the top and no motor! Boooooooo! If you've been following me, you know I like em low. Not to disappoint, I present her majesty... I will go back to get another. This time I'll do it up like I remember as a child. Thanks for looking

I did something I never do. I added the decals. Need to find some wrinkle cream. I also fabbed up an antenna. And, I found the exhaust tips!

Nice build. Love that interior -
This is the AMT release of the 1971 Plymouth Duster. I got this in a trade in the trade forum. The inspiration was my brother in laws car back in 1973. I built this one on the down low, so no build thread. This is one of the better paint jobs I've done. I used craft acrylics and Duplicolor automotive clear. The interior is Apple Barrel gloss black craft acrylics. I built the engine but decided to go curbside after the incident. While building a series if problems occurred and I lost it. I should have just walked away and cooled off but instead, I threw it across the room. First time I ever did that. I've often wanted to in the past but this time I couldn't control myself. I'm a little embarrassed but what's done is done. I boxed it up and left the bunker. I had cooled off the next morning and I assessed the damage. Things were bad. Chunks of both A pillars snapped off, the right front quarter snapped off, the front glass shattered and side glass were wrecked. The front and rear suspension shattered and the exhaust tips are now lost. I decided to build it for display as a reminder to myself what not to do. I began repair and had to make new glass. I tried to restore everything back to its previous state but was not as successful as I wanted. Here she is, please be gentle in your comments. Thanks for looking.

I popped into the Ollie's by the office after work yesterday. They had a few Caddy Ambulances, a few Semis, Chrysler Sebring slammers, 72 Chevy pickups, Black Beautys, Hot Wheels Camaros and Fifty Anniversary Camaros. I grabbed a Chevy Pickup
