  1. Great job on the Olds. The problem I had was with the wheels. Once assembled they were a bit sloppy and wobbled. A few years afterward, I did an overhaul and swapped out the wheels for Pegasus. I like how the frame is separate from the the chassis. Great color and stance.
  2. The body is still a bit too tacky to fiddle with but I like living on the edge. I went after the emblems, painted up the turn signals and the boot I wish I would have used BMF of the trunk and hood letters.
  3. ? I used a 1mm chrome pen, held my breath and made 1 slow steady pass on each line
  4. Killer Torino Mario. Love the color
  5. I'm calling the interior done I wasn't thrilled with the grey insert for the wheel so I brushed over them with my black airbrush mix. also got some flat white on the body. 5 small emblems were covered with BMF prior to paint. I'll brighten them up when the body cures.
  6. I love how the chrome plays off of the red in your interior. Beautiful job

  17. This is the AMT release of the 1970 Chevrolet Impala. In my.opinion, the absolute worst kit I've ever built. I picked this partial kit up at a show. It was in a freezer bag missing a good 1/3 of its parts. I got a good deal. The paint is Anita's Pearl Green Metallic craft acrylics. It took a couple of tries to get the mix right. The chassis was a breeze to get the ride height and steerable wheels. The engine was missing so I robbed the boneyard for that. I added plug wires, carborator connections and return spring, fuel lines and radiator and heater hoses. I made headers from solder and the collectors are aluminum tubing. Exhaust pipes were made from 12 gauge copper wire and the exhaust tips are wire ferrules. For the interior I used wood patterned contact paper and black flocking for the carpet. I used stick pins for the shift lever and turn signal switch. I dont love the wheels but they are a good fit for this type of survivor. The disc brakes are flat washers and the calipers are scraps of sheet styrene. I used a chrome pen and BMF for the bright work. I added BMF to the emblems before I painted the body then removed the paint from the emblems with a little bit of alcohol. I created working hood hinges but they ended up being too bulky to be believable. The rear glass had a huge crack in it so I replaced it with clear laminate. I got a small dab of glue on the front glass so i covered it with a window sticker. I have never been so glad to be finished with a build as i am with this one. Not my best work. What a turd. Thanks for looking.

  20. That's killer Tom. Tell me about those wheels and tires
  21. I decided to remove the top. It took a lot of thought but I pulled the trigger. No turning back now added carpet and added a little flat grey to the wheels. Still need to clean em up and add the spinners.
  22. ?
  23. I hopped back on this one last night. Finished up all BMF, painted the headliner, installed the battery and connected up the radiator and heater hoses the headlights looked kinda dead with just lenses so I stuck some BMF scraps behind them
