  4. got the exhaust figured out. I used 12 gauge copper wire. The glaspacks are styrene tubing Interior is done. Unfortunately I'll have to make the boot. It was not in the box.
  5. Is done. Thanks for playing along
  6. This is the Monogram release from 1993. This is a rebuild I recently finished. I stripped it down and started fresh. This time I mashed it up with the Revell '69 Camaro. I used the engine, wheels and tires, transmission and the dash. The exhaust was scratch built using 12 gauge copper wire. The headers were sculpted using soldier. They were mated with aluminum tubing acting as the collectors. The radiator and shifter were from the boneyard. The heater hoses are ear bud leads and the radiator hose was wire insulation. The distributor and wires were hand made using jewelry parts and wire from an old usb cord. I added a fuel line from the gas tank to the fuel pump and from the fuel pump to the carburetor. The interior is box stock except for flocking the carpet. Custom front suspension was made with spare plastic. Rear suspension was box stock. In the process I lost the side mirrors. Paint is Duplicolor charcoal gray metallic and the top coat is 3 coats of Duplicolor clear. Oops, forgot to paint the back up lights. Doh! Thanks for looking.
  7. Great looking Charger! Love that outdoor pic
  8. You should give yourself 30 days in time out after posting that Dan
  9. I finished my Hemi-Hydro started back in 1996
  10. Found the glass! I just finished up my distraction. now I'm back on track with this one. interior is complete
  11. I picked this up back in 1996. Not sure why but I traded the truck off and kept the boat. Eager to build, I started off by painting the hull and installing the underside fin and prop. For whatever reason I stopped there and boxed it up. Since then, I have moved and all my model kits went up on a shelf in the garage. Last Friday, I got inspired and pulled the box off the shelf. It was covered in nearly 30 years of dust. Not sure of its condition, I lifted off the lid and there she was in surprisingly pretty decent condition. No instructions. Ugh. I ended up finding a digital set on the web. So I printed them out. As I started back in, I considered red, black and white as the color scheme. I added the stringers to the bottom of the hull not really sure it I was installing them right. The instructions were kinda sketchy, and at least, I hadn't lost any of the parts. I was careful in assembly, looking ahead to anticipate where the next parts were to be installed. After finishing the hull, I started on the engine. The block was already assembled and all I needed to do paint it. Next came the valve covers. I made it a plan to add plug wires. The instructions called for a magneto. I had the part but I dont know anything about them so I added a custom distributor and coil instead. With the engine finished, I added the headers. The provided exhaust tips looked hokey so I added some from the parts bin. Same for the velocity stacks. I painted the nose piece for the boat, the interior walls and the seats. While that cured, I added some heat stains on the headers. Looking back I should have added fuel lines since everything is out in the open. Next came the trailer. I added some "rope" and a hook. Everything pretty much fell into place. I kinda wish I would have kept the truck. No built thread for this one. Thanks for looking!
  12. Nice build Jeremy. You did a good thing by gifting this.
  13. Great job on this one. Nice color combo
  14. Great looking Ford. I like the attention to detail. In particular, the heat stains on the headers
  15. That's killer! Love the stance and wheel choice. Great color and finish too
  16. That stance is mean
  17. It's been a while since my last update. Been a little distracted with something I started 25 years ago. I flocked the carpet and gave the door cards a splash of red as well as the Camaro dash. I misplaced the steering column and wheel. They will turn up after I straighten up the workbench
  18. That's a great ride height.
  19. Pretty cool.
