  3. Well why don’t we make a molding of the Iso before we place it in a box and hope that it gets to Tasmania …??
  4. Ok. Ok. We’ll set aside that spicey Scarab interlude - for now - the engine bonnett needs the same finishing as the body - lots of rivets- made from .020 phosphor bronze rod - and then the engine turned finish …

  9. The Pocher engines are not- in my opinion - reliably scale accurate - the anwer - is to measure these things ourselves - which until recently - has been difficult to do - my I phone has a photo measurment app - its either cheap or free - cant recall - now - when i come across something I’m really interested in - Like the Scarab grand prix engine on display at Rev’s in Naples - I take some photos with some measurements …. Do you have this app ??
  10. Gary of Circle Track Decals fame agreed to attempt to produce a set of these in 24th Scale - which is an act of scale foolishness and/or bravery … Anyway - he somehow pulled it off - these markings are designed to be applied over a white backing decal … which he also supplied - the black dot next to the insruments - believe it or not - depicts the water temp gauge perched on top of the radiator - which is also cool …. Bravo Gary …
  11. the Millar 122s were heavily influenced by the French Grand prix cars the French - such as Peugeot - are generally credited with birthing the modern racing engine ... so it's interesting to see that the 122s had French tachometers .. black numbers / white or off white background ... later Millers - such as the 91s - changed to white on black ...
  12. The Heller T50 was a large car with a 5 litre engine - larger than the DOHCs in the T57 series - but Ive always suspected that the kit engine was too tall or over-scale …. thierry - what do you think ?
  13. Lister confusion - the Sayer Lister is a fiction- meant the Costin Lister …
  14. Crazy - you are right of course - Heller does kit the T50 - but dosn’t that just make you want the others? Have you built your T50?
  15. Lister confusion meant the Costin designed Lister - and not the Sayer designed Lister - which is a fiction …
  16. Gracias Cman
  17. Tragic that the various T50 and T57 series Bugattis remain unkitted in 24th scale - that’s gotta change some day … I absolutely love the Atalante …
  18. Lister ? You’ve got my undivided attn: Would you like to post a photo of the Lister casting ? It wasn’t the Sayer modified series II - was it ??
  19. With a mock up of the insrument panel - which oddly - was not machine turned finish like the rest if this car …
