  1. The frames are useful for allowing a clean installation of the grills in the openings
  2. Lots of work needed to finish the bonnet - frames to hold the grills are made from brass L shaped stock - the photo-etched grill material is cut from from this sheet - had it for several years- can’t recall the source …

  7. ESCI’s kit is a clear body kit produced years ago - the Lancia is the older sister of the later 037 Martini sp car - the Beta also sports a 4 cyl engine - but is mounted differently than the later Martini car …

  9. Pascal - very good update - 2 questions - the magnets in the tail - what is their diameter? They appear to be no more than .040 - and do they “attach” magnetically to the white metal w/out placement of corresponding magnets behind the head rest ???

  15. CAREFULLY test fit all of the suspension parts - and make sure that the metal parts have a good glue bond - it’s not white metal - it’s “diecast metal” - it’s a tricky kit to build well - trust me …
  16. Nice. If you like the shape if the kit scoop - try filing off the sides and replacing with some .015’ strip sanded to shape …
  17. First some clear cote - alclad’s light sheen - then alclad’s transparent blue : cut with some clear …. Had to sand after the second coat which was sprayed on a little too dry - leaving some graining - mite see it on these pix …
