  1. I noticed that the desk lamp light effects the photo color - when the Cobra was wheeled into the sun light this AM and photographed w the same device - I phone - the blue is much bluer …

  3. This is basically two light coats - the second sprayed within five minutes of the first - very little grain and smooth/consistent - thinned Model Master air brushes very nicely - might be able to polish it without sanding. - I don’t have much stock- I’ll miss it -
  4. The kit directions specifically said to not leave body hair on the roof when you spray the color coat - but I’m directions-challenged - so i may need a re-do on the roof- we’ll see …

  9. Model Master beat out Zero paints for the color coat - but I’m impressed w the Zero aluminum paint …. Looks good under the bonnett - i’ll use it on the interior and the bottom of the car too … similar to alclad - mite be a little easier to use …

Cman : are you holding out ?? we’ve got 1 Cobra finished, 2 more started - and 7 left that haven’t been tagged yet - see page 1 - which Cobra is yours? Or are you eyeing one of the Ferraris ? No rush though - completion date for the thread is March something 2024 …
  13. Now a third coat of Tamiya rattle can primer - probably the final primer coat - that strip of Renshape is finally well hidden ….
  14. There is a small hinged hatch on the bonnett - for adding oil ? - this was riveted with some Master Club rivets …
  15. Once i re-profiled the beak - i realized that i had to follow the new shape down around the radiator opening - with some bits of Evergreen strip and putty - i wanted to get the correct shape - its a design feature that has been copied in Generations of sports cars since …
  16. Lengthened the rocker panels to match the longer bonnett and added louvers that were unique to chass 2287 - i think - that diamond coated cutting bit is useful for gauging the louvers - i think they are made by Eurotool - which caters to jewelry makers …
  17. Top Studio rivets for the fenders - with dimples - these are barely visible on the Simeone Daytona Coupe - the hope is that a couple of coats of paint will have the same effect in scale …
