  1. R3 and R2 are both 49A s - R2 was converted to B Spec in '69 - and then converted back to it's 1967 spec by it's current owner...
  2. this is R3 - the most untouched of the survivors - I would like to see R3 get a mechanical restoration so that it could at least be demo - ed ...

  6. Opened this on my phone - absolutely thought the first posted shot was the real thing - with the photo setting in some lonely estate …. Super - and i know that this thing didn’t just fall together … and yes - vintage alfas are not always dark red …

  8. Pedals - clutch and brake pedals had cast non-skid surfaces - made these with some solder melted over some fine brass screen -

Since this was a curbside kit - the chassis plate extends forward past the first bulkhead to the location of the radiator - but as with most other open wheelers with forward radiators - this space should be open - i’ll make an oil tank and improve upon the kit radiator - therefore the surgery you see in these pix …
  10. I found the reverse case bolt - it bounded away and ended up under my work bench - you must have sneezed …
  11. The track is narrowed to the correct width now - and a few more mods to the base plate casting to make a pedal box that is closer to spec -
  12. This part will be made as a composite with left and right arms linked to the pedal box frame - as one casting - but more work is needed to reach the correct track width …
  13. As i did with the bulkhead - i made a sandwich part with lengths of half-round evergreen rod. - liqud glued to the sheet following the pattern - the parts were made by scraping down .047 rod to a half-round links …
