  1. Ooph the diamond cutter - looks like an alternative to a slitting saw - maybe better - did you source it on Amazon - or what ?
  2. The domed bolts in the third pic are Decalcas printed bolts .08 mil - they come on a sheet w multiple sizes ….
  3. Using Evergreen strip and sheet i’m making cam covers that will look like the Joker castings - according to my drawings - the Joker cam covers are just a bit short - mine will be about a scale 1 1/2 inch longer …
  4. This is a resin Climax engine fr a rare Joker Lotus 33 kit - long story - forgot to mention this - this obscure Joker kit is the base for my equally obscure WIP thread on the Lotus 32B - anyway …
  5. Oh by the way - that Tam kit has the best 24th scale Jag XKE engine - - - i cant think of anything Gurney didnt drive in his racing career - except i dont recall any front drive Indy cars …
  6. Fake out the monocoque was cast in dark resin - not painted til yesterday ….
  7. And a coat of Tamiya spray can primer to see where I’m at - the fuel filler pipe is modified from the 20th Tamiya Lotus kit - tried to make one from brass and epically failed …
  8. Zinc aluminum and some other stuff …. As more and more things are produced 3D and printed - it will become rare - hard to produce - has to be cast - but harder to cast than resin - castings produced by centrifugal force - you gotta spin the master mold - neat stuff - it’s kinda neat that MFH still makes its kits with the stuff …
  9. The bulkhead width now matches the tapered width of the legs of the moncoque - sp its flued together with some supports top and bottom - and the forward engine mount bulkhead is trimmed and bolted to slide in/out of the engine bulkheads - Master Club bolts -

  11. But i then realized that the 25 was designed and built with chassis “legs” that taper to this bulkhead - so the monocoque is 28 inches wide at the driving compartment - but tapers to 26 inches at the last bulkhead - oops -
  12. I’m making something a little smaller than the corresponding Tamiya 20th scale kit part - which has the correct shape …
  13. But turning my attn to the engine compartment and susp bulkhead i’ve realized that i need to make another correction… this is a good drawing of the bulkhead that completes the back of the monocoque …
