  5. Reach out to bentley - guessing Randy is relying in his old RB stash - life may be interfering - not sure that RB has been taking orders lately - but some of his stuff is so crucial for the super detailers - hoping he will produce again -
  6. At rainy Amelia last Sunday - neat looking GT40 … do you recall how much you had to remove fr the Monogram to correct the width ?
  7. and by the way - the driver of the turtled A6GCS - per the Veloce book review - is said to have escaped with minor injuries [and a new appreciation for the hazards of long distance sports car races] ...
  8. with some added research - fr Veloce Today, The Ultimate Car page site, Silodrome and Concept Cars Site - I've confirmed that Maserati had two entries in the "54 Sebring race - neither finished - I'll build number 42 / chassis 2053 - partly because it has changed hands several times in recent years and has been featured in a number of auction house sales with the requisite photo walk-a-rounds .... I really prefer to photograph the cars I'm building - 2053 has eluded me thus far - but I'm confident that I'll encounter it some day in the future ....
  9. credit for the picture of the turtled Maserati goes to the Veloce Today site - its selected from its book revu of the Maserati A6GCS book by Baumer - published by Dalton Fine Books - - trey expensive -
  10. And he didnt miss by much …. In fact i’d call this a damn good effort - and yes - his casted frame members were the correct diameter - but with the above Maser on its back like a turtle- and with some additional drawings - i think i can do better …
  11. Marcello - our Sourh American intrepid caster - took a serious swing at the chassis for this kit -
  12. project took a little nap whilst I searched for better info on the chassis - which Maserati was evolving on a nearly yearly basis in the early fifties. Low and behold, I was able to glom an internet image of an A6GCS that had come to an unfortunate end in a road race back in the day...
  13. Thanks for additions - for the knee injury - here’s the fix - just bash a hole in the wall behind your workbench and stick your immobile leg right thru - don’t tel the misses …
  14. Yes it does - im holding the starters flag …
  15. 2287 as it is today - much like the ‘65 team cars - including the team ‘65 Shelby blue - which is darker - it would be cool if 2287 were to receive a cosmetic restoration to its ‘64 Daytona or Sebring spec - but that would infuriate many in the vintage car community - so i guess a model will do …
