  1. This is a part that would really be perfect for 3D drawing and printing - note to Andy …. As i am still stuck in the last century - I’m “borrowing” 2 photo-etch scripts from the Profil24 Maserati 450S kit - so what will i do when i get around to building my 450S kit ? Dunno …

Over the years i have glommed a bunch of auction photos of the engine - these are two - so i know exactly what the engine looks like - i dont have measurements - but i can judge the dimensions roughly - im making an engine that will fit the engine bay - ill end up with something that is pretty close to scale …

  15. The Strada kit was basic but its creator took the trouble to add some cast-in features that were very accurate - like the oil cooler / radiator - so lets make one -

  17. Re Renshape - the brown Renshape has medium density - so it is subject to scratches on the surface when you shape the part - not a big deal - just prime - that will reveal the scratches - a little more sanding - and then paint / treat like resin to finish …

Maserati sports cars used radiators that had expansion or header tanks - similar to the Alfa open wheelers - the tanks were tapered - the radiators all looked alike - their dimensions varied depending on the engine size …. This one was made with spare parts, Evergreen strip, and a scrap of Renshape for the header tank -
