  1. Time to glue the body down onto the base - which I was worried about because of the resin body flex - which is pronounced … so I’ve added some strip to the base and drilled holes for bolts that i hope will hold the assembly in place …

Another revu of the contemporary pix shows me that the Goodyear markings on the tires are too large - the Goodyear tire markings on the Model Factory Hiro sheets are the correct size - and I’ve got an extra sheet from a Porsche 909/3 kit [long story] - so i scraped off the decals that i applied last month and put on the MFH markings …

  18. Gramps - I just went thru the entire standard font library on Word Perfect - over 200 styles - and I got bad news I think team Cunningham taped up the outline and brush painted the numbers ... ain't no such font - says I - ... ....

  20. the tires are the parts that most confound scratch builders - and these seem to be the parts best rendered 3D - great stuff !!
  21. Torsion bars front and back - kit supplied brass w soldered brass tube at each end for the housings for nickel pins - then chemically blackened - this arrangement can be seen on the photontjat Randy D posted two weeks ago …
