  1. Wait - you mean Canada still has …. Model ships ? Ill be right over …
  2. Tranny almost finished - will leave the cover plate w the shifter housing as a seperate part - because Ferrari designed a seperate shifter housing to use on the early spyder corsas and GP cars … the white parts poking out of the sides of the clutch housing are interesting - the clutch arm/fork connects to the pedal through the opening in the housing - all of the earliest Ferraris were right hand drive - but Enzo was thinking ahead - he had Colombo - or whoever designed the transmission - design the trans with left and right openings in the housing - for a clutch assembly in left hand drive cars … Gramps and Andy Martin’s photos tell all …
  3. I realized that Evergreen rod is not always accurately sized - the .020 rod is actually .0225 - Plastruct’s .020 rod is dead on accurate and has a truer shape - its actually …. Round ! So im using the good stuff for the left facing trans side-plate …
  4. Trans cover made from Evergreen strip and drilled for some .020 Master Club resin 3d printed bolts
  5. The reinforcement on the side plates are made w .020 evergreen rod - actually - .015 would be a bit more scale accurate …
  6. ian - i’ve been lurking on your build threads in the drag section - i get my inspiration from trips to the Amelia Island Concourse in March - Amelia is now nearly as spectacular as Pebble Beach - did i see somewhere that you reside in Calgary ??
  7. If Gramps doesn’t have it - it mite not exist … has anyone ever SEEN the kit - built or unbuilt ?
  8. Mr Bugatti - there is a Marshall Buck connection here - andy martin’s research was done while he did some pattern work for Marshall’s large sc Barchetta - that kit is as rare as Quarterman’s Umi kit - Gramps may have one -
  9. Pierre - im calling this a semi-curbside because im making no effort to replace or detail the frame - i may add a few suspension features - not sure …
  10. Gramps and Andy Martin assembled a terrific library of early Ferrari research - maybe - not sure - when Martin was doing some Ferrari pattern work some years ago - this is the Barchetta transmission - developed in 1948 - and constantly modified until the GTO trans was made 12 years later …. But you can see the lineage … and if you don’t know who Andy Martin is - just ask …
  11. Or … leaving the bar … oops the GTO kit that gave up its engine block is about to surrender its transmission - which is dead nuts accurate for the GTO - im going to back date it for the early 12 …
  12. The battery is a chunk of .188 x .188 Evergreen strip with a strap of .015 x .040 - and 3 short lengths of filed .015 x .030 …. W holes for the posts and .021 holes for the caps …
  13. The battery and the tool kit boxes are made fr Evergreen L angle stock - like this ….
  14. Removed the lids - these will be replaced with new ones - better and more accurate shape and dimension - and i now have a cleaner shelf upon which to add all the stuff …
  15. Off it comes - using the Tamiya scriber that ive become rather attached to …. Now i’ll clean up what’s left and open those hatches - the left one holds the battery - the right one holds some tools or accesories …. Ill add the fuse boxes too …
  16. The area marked in black has to be removed - because the shelf on top of the engine bulkhead does not have a drip rail for the trailing edge of the bonnet …
  17. bet you didn't think this would be so difficult when you opened the box ...
