  1. I saw this thread the other day and decided to stop on my way home from work, the Ollies near me had the 1/8 scale Lindberg T bucket for $50, I picked it up cause I didn’t think that was to bad, they also had the CuttySark and a 1/16-ish stage coach with horses and a confederate and union set of mounted soldiers. Both of these were a larger scale, I don’t remember the stage Coach or the civil war kits but they didn’t look bad!
  2. Just finished 2 great trades with Phirewriter and SamIam, both great guys and would trade with anytime! Thanks!
  3. Great looking model! Love the color!
  4. WOW! That is beautiful!! How did you get such fine pinstripes on the hood?
  5. Very nice looking! Great job!
  6. I appreciate you checking! Thanks! I am surprised that back then that this was never kitted stock, they did the funny car, petty stock car and the LA Dart. Seems a little odd! I also am curious which molds if any were modified into the 3 different kits or if they were all done separate.
  7. Thank you! I appreciate the info. I will look into Hart’s Parts and see if they have the front, finding the rear should be fairly easy.
  8. Great idea and very well done!
  9. Great restoration looks fantastic! I wanted to ask if the bumpers for this kit are the same as the LA Dart kit. I have an original body of this but that’s all I have is the body, I thought maybe the bumpers are the same.
  10. Randy I will take a look, I might have a couple of these in the stash and maybe we could trade!
  11. Yes, that is an old Hubley, hope to finish it soon!
  12. Tom I believe that was it! Super nice looking! That is much more factory correct than mine, I think I went over board with the side window chrome!
  13. This is one I just finished. It’s the pre assembled diecast of I believe George Poteets or it could have been a Posies diecast; can’t remember! Anyway I saw this type of build awhile ago in one of the magazines (can’t remember which magazine it was.....BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH memory!) the builder removed the second chrome strip from the side or possibly both and made a stock looking wagon. I picked this up in a lot of stuff and it was assembled with both bumpers upside down so I figured I would try to change it up! I removed the lower chrome on the side and filled the hood vents, that was basically the body mods. I changed the steering wheel painted the interior to match the outside, changed the wheels and tires and that’s about it! I thought about a different style two-tone but wanted to keep it simple, wish I would have used a lighter blue instead of turquoise. Bare metal foil was very tough as the edges of the chrome are very “soft” , I thought it came out ok and I would like to do another but next time remove all the side chrome and put a thin one down the sides to represent a more base model! As always comments welcome!
  14. Hi all, just finished this up the other day. Pretty much box stock build, used some wheels from a diecast and got it as low as I could. The paint looks very different in the pictures, it’s lime green metallic and pearl white on the fenders. I left the running boards white as I thought that if I painted them black rubber it would have stuck out too much. As always comments are welcome. Thanks!
  15. Nice! Excellent body and paint work!
  16. Looks great! Very nice job!
  17. Very nice model, good choice of the colors also! These kits are very tough with all the flashing but look nice when completed. I finished this same kit this past year and I’m not sure I would tackle another!
  18. Completed another great trade with Bigtruck, thanks Ken!
  19. Super nice build! Love the paint work!
  20. Yes that is the interior that came with the kit, it’s really nice and could easily be used for a lot of other projects!
  21. Thanks! Appreciate the comments!
  22. Thanks guys, great tips and pictures!
  23. That’s a neat idea, looks like it’s a easy safe way! Thanks!
  24. Thanks guys, appreciate the tips!
