  1. Some more stash adds, probably my last for a while, lol. Ollie's for the Grumpy's Vega's; Hobby Lobby for the '29 Roadster, '55 Cameo, '70 Firebird, and '81 Z28; Hobbylinc for Billy's Camaro and '70 Shelby Mustang; Walmart for the '60 Chevy Pickup and '71 Charger. Also got some more aluminum tubing, brass rod and tubing, and a Createx Candy2o Deep Purple on clearance to try out.
  2. Very cool looking, nice work!
  3. Fantastic looking Vette!
  4. Thanks Bob! The only thing I did was to sand down the mold lines on the body, including a bit of a sharp ridge on top of the 1/4's. That's a nice looking ride there!
  5. Very nice 442!
  6. Beautiful Vette! Nice photography too!
  7. Very nice!
  8. Outstanding and exciting news! Thanks for the coverage Tim! One of these days I have to make it to one of these shows, I mean I only live about 60 miles away. It just never works out with the time, or the money I'll need for the vendor tables, lol.
  9. Thanks! It's a decal on the kit decal sheet. Just use some decal setting solution to help it conform to the round shape. Thanks! I do not polish my BMF. With the Createx Clear, I put the BMF on after the polishing stage so it only gets rubbed by the q-tip as I'm burnishing it down. For the driving lights I used Tamiya clear orange straight from the bottle and applied it to the inside of the clear part before using Mod Podge to glue it on. Yes, the Createx paints and clears are water-based acrylics. There's a bit of a learning curve to them to get them adjusted to your own airbrush and set-up, but they're great when you get used to them.
  10. My version of the Revell 1966 Pontiac GTO. The car from the movie Knight and Day was my inspiration for this one. Tamiya X-31 Titanium Gold was thinned and airbrushed on. Createx 4053 High Gloss Clear was wet-sanded, polished, and waxed. Folkart Glam Gold was used for the interior with embossing powder for the carpet. I added spark plug wires, heater hoses, valve stems, and door locks for extra detail. I used Bare Metal Foil for the trim, and a combination of BMF and Molotow Chrome for the interior trim. I did some dry-brushing on the frame to show off some of the molded in details and give it a bit of a driven look. This was an excellent kit to build and I really enjoyed the build process on this one.
