Thanks Bill! The wheels and tires for the '55 Chevy and '69 GTO came from Jay's Resin Wheels and Tires on eBay. For the '67 Chevelle I cut the back of the kit wheels off and used the deep ring. I took a pair of wheels from Morgan Automotive Detail and did the same thing, and glued the MAD spoke part onto the kit deep dish rings. I left the front pair from MAD un-altered and just used the kit tires for both front and back. If you're interested I did a tutorial for my YouTube channel.

For my last project of 2024, I decided to give my AMT 1969 Olds 442 W-30 built in July 2020 a quick re-paint. It was originally painted in Decoart Metallic Berry, but I changed it to as close to Saffron Yellow as I could get using Apple Barrel White and Apple Barrel Sunny Day Yellow. I cleared it with Createx UVLS 4050 Gloss and gave it the wet-sand, polish, and wax treatment. I used Bare Metal Foil for the trim. I did adjust the ride height slightly and painted the wheel spokes in a lighter shade. Everything else was left un-altered from the original build. I do like this new color combo much better! I built 13 kits this year, plus I took apart one from 2020 to re-paint it a different color that I should have finished up in a day or two. I think I bought 10 kits this year, which is kind of a lot for me.

I received a monetary gift from a family member and turned it into these. I've heard from a couple of good sources that the Olds production has been stopped for now, so I bought two. I also finally managed to get the new tool Mach 1, even though I did manage to get the 007 version from Revell a while back.

Looks great! One of my all time favorite NASCAR schemes.

My version of the Revell 1970 Plymouth Road Runner painted in Anita's Galvanized Tin craft paint with Createx UVLS 4050 Gloss Clear, wet-sanded, polished, and waxed. I used Bare Metal Foil for the window and interior trim, embossing powder for the carpet. I also added door lock knobs, valve stems, and heater hoses and spark plug wires for extra detail. This is a fairly basic, but still very nice kit that is another of the former Monogram 1/24 kits from the early 80's. It was a very easy and enjoyable build with the only real problem being getting the grille/headlight part to fit right on the front of the body. As always, thanks for looking!
