  1. Very nice! I love the color!
  2. Just recently completed my second build of this kit. The color was custom mixed using all Createx paints, Pearl Tangerine, Opaque Black, and Pearl Red. I used Createx 4053 High Gloss Clear, wet-sanded, polished, and waxed. I then added Bare Metal Foil for the trim and then applied the decals. I used the kit decals for the tires, painted the spokes with the body color, and added valve stems for the wheels. The engine color was custom mixed using craft paints and I added heater hoses and spark plug wires for extra detail. The interior was painted in Createx Opaque White with black embossing powder for carpet. I used BMF for the trim along with the kit woodgrain decals. Copper wire was used for the door lock knobs. I used the automatic transmission and corresponding rear end on this one and the fitment was spot-on compared to my first build using the 4 speed and that corresponding rear end which had to be adjusted for proper fitment. Otherwise, a great kit of one of my favorite cars, I really enjoyed the build. Thanks for looking!
  3. Absolutely fantastic!

  10. Looks good!
  11. Some more stash adds, probably my last for a while, lol. Ollie's for the Grumpy's Vega's; Hobby Lobby for the '29 Roadster, '55 Cameo, '70 Firebird, and '81 Z28; Hobbylinc for Billy's Camaro and '70 Shelby Mustang; Walmart for the '60 Chevy Pickup and '71 Charger. Also got some more aluminum tubing, brass rod and tubing, and a Createx Candy2o Deep Purple on clearance to try out.
  12. Very cool looking, nice work!
  13. Fantastic looking Vette!
  14. Thanks Bob! The only thing I did was to sand down the mold lines on the body, including a bit of a sharp ridge on top of the 1/4's. That's a nice looking ride there!
  15. Very nice 442!
  16. Beautiful Vette! Nice photography too!
  17. Very nice!
  18. Outstanding and exciting news! Thanks for the coverage Tim! One of these days I have to make it to one of these shows, I mean I only live about 60 miles away. It just never works out with the time, or the money I'll need for the vendor tables, lol.
  19. Thanks! It's a decal on the kit decal sheet. Just use some decal setting solution to help it conform to the round shape. Thanks! I do not polish my BMF. With the Createx Clear, I put the BMF on after the polishing stage so it only gets rubbed by the q-tip as I'm burnishing it down. For the driving lights I used Tamiya clear orange straight from the bottle and applied it to the inside of the clear part before using Mod Podge to glue it on. Yes, the Createx paints and clears are water-based acrylics. There's a bit of a learning curve to them to get them adjusted to your own airbrush and set-up, but they're great when you get used to them.
