Tamiya tape…comes various widths including some very thin. I have had very good luck with it not leaking.. they even make tape suitable for compound curves. Works very well too!! Best tape I’ve ever used. I recently used it to mask between the black and red here. A very clean line.

Thought I’d share some pics of this engine. Building for an upcoming build that the mailman will have for me soon. I’ve built a lot of resin in my time and I have to say KFS made an awesome little kit here. Clean up was very little, fit was awesome, and the detail is very crisp. It’s pinned together for painting and plumbing in these pics. I would definitely recommend!!!

I’ve been working on this for awhile now. Major fit issues, the arms where either not sculpted correctly or something went wrong in the casting process, because both arm would not sit flush at the seam…you can see in the pics I used styrene and lots of super glue to fill the gaps. Another issue I had was lines in the casting as though the mold halves were misaligned. Some of these are visible on his back. These lines were on his back and both legs and very hard to get rid of. I fixed his arms by shoving milliput into the joints and re sculpting and I’ll post pics of the primered repair later tonight. Notice the unrealistic lay of his jacket around his equipment. I was disappointed in the quality.

When this kit was released I knew I had to build it, not being a huge truck builder I wasn’t sure how I wanted it, then I saw the AMT decals included with the kit and I knew. This is my idea of what AMT/Round 2 would haul the millions of kits sold by the thousands of hobby stores around the country. Yea… right… anyway… Moebius wheels…big stacks and a Texas bumper…seats and visor from the parts bin and I made bigger fuel tanks. It’s not my best but I’m happy with it.

Can someone please tell me what kits represent the long hood 359. I’m pretty sure the Revell kit with opening doors is the only one but I’m not sure. thanks
