  1. Morning Danno....Where is Harry............
  2. Are the decals also on the roof?? If not wide brush and a coat of future can be done w/o masking....BUT if on the roof your outta luck w/o masking as the guys said
  3. Hey Neal....I gotta agree with the guys ...Strip it and start fresh. But....What was the cause of the peel ???? With white primer used on bare plastic, properly washed and sanded coverage is a bear to say the least...even with tamiya white. I would suggest a light grey as a base ...couple of mist coats do your sanding...or??.. Then hit with your white...it will take 4 or 5 light mist coats..and it will lay smooth. I shoot all grey primers and if using light or neon colors HOK BC26 white base will work very nice.........just a couple of my cents worth Good luck
  4. One Sweet Ride!!!!! It may be old and so am I..... Mike ..What wheel tire is that....Ts????

  8. Yes I've used it....I will use it again...worked well for the job I used it for......I shoot lacquers. Background: I wanted to paint the spokes on chrome wheels using Tamiya Smoke. It would be impossible to mask off the wheel and I didn't want to strip and spray everything.So.....enter Bob Dively liquid mask. I painted it on the rim and because its blue I could see it. I used 3 coats of mask let dry overnight and sprayed the smoke on...worked well on this job...I learned this from Zoom Zooms book as he did the wheels on a ford gt this way.

  21. Polishing your clearcoat. WHY?????? If you are shooting Tamiya Ts series lacquers use TS13 clear and if you do it correctly little or no polishing is needed. Most of my knowledge is from Zoom Zoom on the forum and in his books. Bob teaches that with Tamiya lacquers and the shrinkage when they are dry, the big trick is to have smooth primer. After I primer I wet sand with 400 & 800 grits untill the baby bottom stage is reached. Now I wash it and blow dry and get in the booth. I lay on 2 or 3 mist coats about 15 min apart followed by 2 wet coats also 15 min apart. Followed by 2 or 3 mist coats of TS13....all these coats have been applied thru the airbrush using decanted Tamiya TS basecoats and TS13 . Then follow with 2 wet coats of TS 13....right out of the can(I use a new can here).......let dry and if it is not smooth enough use a little of Tamiya polish...I find that if My primer is slick I rarely need to polish......
  22. And I'm as old as you Harry...gotta agree with Dann-O...that thing is Butt Ugly
