  1. If it's Platinum that makes you high maintenance........
  2. Virgil....Its all in the darkroom....(photoshop). Remember this one.... before after
  3. Darin....I would trust the monitor...Its in the camera....Simply put if your camera shoots in the jpeg mode...what you see is not what you get ! If you go back to the "old days of silver" you got a negative, which exposed on a sensitized surface gave you a print. Most good printers in the lab corrected by feel..and usually got it right. If not, you sent it back for reprinting. When a digital camera takes a image in "RAW" that is an uncorrected image, you then must correct it using software.....When you get a jpeg from the camera it has been "corrected" inside the computer that took it as the camera uses an algorithum to give you your resulting image. When I process my RAW images I store them as " Digital Negatives"....when I post an Image it is in jpeg, as thats what monitors like. This is an image of one of the good Dr's cars shot in raw and played with...like the reflection...or notice the "pop" in his shiny paint!
  4. Well it isn't grey, silver, or white ...That is so shiny it must be chrome...not clear, CHROME!!!
  5. or buy the caps with hole drilled from Norm @ R&M....3 for 5.00 or buy one wired from MAD...a half hour of my time is worth 5.00 look in the lower corner these are blue

  8. I totally agree...I used to preach film is cheap.....but with digital keep shooting and then get it BIG and look!! I have found that Canon does have some very well made cameras and uses some algorithms based on the EOS that are incredible ! I do also agree to play around with your camera and its modes...let it work for you...after all thats what DELETE is for!
  9. Do not use any color to check sharpness or resolution..as light refraction can change your results due to lens coatings...use one of these... Digital and Silver are totally different..read here http://www.normankoren.com/Tutorials/MTF5.html Unless you are shooting in JPEG mode....I shoot in RAW and sharpen before and after....A jpeg uses an algorithm to give your results..not what the lens sees. After 20 plus years of fixing camera lenses...I can talk about resolution, refraction, and depth of field and depth of focus. I will put my 30 and 40 year old lenses from Leitz and Schneider up against any newer multi coated optics ....and the new ones will be sharper, but with less contrast. I love Photoshop..and it will solve most image issues.
  10. I hate to admit it but Dave is correct......Both favorites...great looks and great builds!
  11. Ted...a new hobby store is going in at Davis and shadowlawn....I've been to Hobby Lobby in Ft Myers...not worth the drive...Paradise is a bit better.
  12. If you are old enough to use silver ..the "sunny 16" rule works....or set it to aperture priority@ f8 and focus carefully.

  23. I liked the one for Tax Act..........Y'now its not car related but it was one of the doozies.... a little boy desperately needs to relieve himself. After his sister beats him to the bathroom, the boy resorts to jumping in the pool. In the closing shot, the boy smiles a grin of satisfaction. Was done up in Milwaukee, At Independent Studios. Madonna went out thru a trap door....I missed that
