I could be wrong, have been B4... "1/24th" would be Monogram & I don't recall them coming on to NASCAR kits till the 80s. MPC and cpl Johans (1/25). As Brian said the Revell is easily sourced, most distinguished part for earlier hemi is it's air cleaner. I may even have an extra around here.

I would be interested in your input about that epoxy putty & liquid foil paint when you get the chance.

This will be sorta stock.... considering changing the wheels out for Kelsey tru-wires...... but not lookin' factory "show room". Did I mess something up ...(not a Ford guy)? Just to simulate Ritchie Valens... (wife's favorite movie)... couldn't tolerate the hideous lines & dips.

I sure hope yours was molded better! There was No saving this ones mold color....heat sinks galore, panel lines were inverted mold lines, but hey! We're molders!

If that fret is truly an extra....you may not need....or certain pieces you'd need to keep...the scripts are all I'm really after to use, well maybe the key chain or other small morsels. Pick out something useful & PM me....see if I can accommodate.

I had looked at that set on their site as well, but haven't acted on due to unsure of size, this pic shows the less distorted original script. I attempted filling the sink, but it will not correct the curve in the emblems and under lying surface... also would still be visible in a foil casting. Remove & replacement looks to be the best solution. If you were to have an extra set you're not intending to use... I would gladly trade you out of it

I'm working on a Monogram 58 Thunderbird ... I'm looking if anyone would happen to have a fret with the front fender scripts I could barter for B4 I destroy the molded ones fixing heat sinks. 🤔 Besides the horrible mold lines/flash Monogram managed to create some hellacious heat sinks impossible to overlook!! Original scripts... (approximately 15 mm in length x slightly less than a mm tall) I have a "Very good" stash to trade from...LMK what you'd like in trade. THX! for checking my post! Kevin

You are absolutely correct! The new formula is useless and had left a residue that caused the term "fish eyes"...the only thing I use anymore is a toothbrush,comet & warm water flowing over as I scrub. I "soak" nothing resin anymore!
