  1. Thanks Brad. Based on the parts, this is the version I have. From what I can find, it's the only version with a hood, moonroof and the shorty pipes. I may look into the ebay decals, but for the sake of being different, I'll probably just stick with the Gashopper decals.
  2. To my knowledge, the only parts not available int he recent releases from Lindburg was the dual rear wheels.
  3. Honestly it all depends on the vision, the inspiration. I love them both ways.
  4. Some foil work and a mock up.
  5. This is looking good. Keep it going.
  6. Wow this is quite the project. Very neat design.
  7. I like it a lot Jason. Well done.
  8. As a single kit, yeah it's pretty poor. But with the wealth of Mustang kits available to use, the only thing that matters is the body. Which is pretty decent.
  9. Its 30 gauge wire. The boots are the insulation from a larger gauge wire. Thanks guys I'm glad you like it. More soon.
  10. I picked this up from a friend as a rebuilder. It's one of my favorites from my childhood. I'm not getting too fancy with it, just want a nice shelf model. It's coming along quite well. It's Testors One Shot lacquer, Lime Ice. I'm going to use the Gashopper decals unless I can locate some of the Pinto decals. And probably some sponsor decals from the Stone, Woods & Cook gasser. I'm cool either way. Going to ditch the hood though and just add a bug catcher to the top of the carbs. The engine looks too nice not to, and I've never really liked snorkel scoops.
  11. That is very nice. Well done sir.
  12. After checking my models, I can say with some confidence that the top center are NOT from the MPC Charger. But the right two parts I think are AMT. Sorry to be zero help here.
  13. Based on this photo of a VERY early model of mine (no laughing now, it was my first wiring job ) the top center parts are likely MPC. I'll take a better look tonoght to verify.
  14. Very solid work. Looks great.
  15. Thanks everyone. I will definitely be making an effort to attend.
  16. Lay it out on the driveway on a hot day.
  17. Can anyone tell me about the engine? A 355 Mopar? Is that just a bored & stroked 340? And how good is the engine detail? I've always thought the AMT Duster 340 looked a little small. Would this be a nice replacement?
  18. Oh trust me. I'm not worried about awards. I just want to be a part of it. 2017 would definitely be the target for my move. I plan to wait until after the election and any economic instability thereafter before trying to shift my employment.
  19. A move out of Florida is in the planning stages for my wife and I. Boise is a likely destination. Which would put me in driving distance of the Greater Salt Lake City International Model Car Championship. I've read the info on the website and now I'd like to hear about it from folks that have done it, the bad and the good.
  20. I dig the shaker.
  21. Very nice work.
  22. I don't really have any interest in larger scales. Over the my lifetime, space for completed builds will eventually become an issue. I have about 35 completed models (1/24 & 1/25) and it's already starting. I see no reason to make things worse by building large scales.
  23. Really how odd. They would be backwards though on a real engine. The valve cover bolts on a Chevy big block are four down, three up.
