  1. That's a great years work. Looking good.
  2. She's done. Finally. Now to come up with some ideas for the '56.
  3. I have sent Ron a text and left a voice message. He acknowledged my call in a text later on. I'll try calling him again this weekend and see if I can help get this sorted.
  4. Thanks guys. Looks like I got #5 in at the wire. Check it out in the Under Glass section.
  5. A few more. The blankets were ink jet printed in thin fabric.
  6. It's always nice to get one done during the holiday break. After a botched paint job (the clear had a disagreement with decals), and some bodywork that I just never got to liking, I scored a second body. It sat in primer while I waiting for inspiration. At some point, it became clear that it was just time to rat it out and try some new weathering techniques. I think it came out pretty well. Feel free to tell me what you think.

    2015 ReBuild

You got quite a bit done. Not bad.
  8. Nice looking group. Well done.
  9. Thanks Al. That's my favorite for the year too.
  10. That's really very clever and well done. I like the whited out chrome. Very unique.
  11. I put some real effort into building "my perfect deuce". If I was going to build one, this is how I'd want it. Revell 32 roadster body and frame, channeled. Wheels and tires from the Revell '29 Pick-up kit Engine and seats are from the deuce sedan. Some improvements would have been a quick change rear end and a duval style windshield.
  12. Some color for the interior. These are printed on real cloth.
  13. Last pic before its on the shelf. Very pleased with how it turned out.
  14. As of this moment I've no build planned. I very rarely do any type of model twice and though it's a movie car, this is very much what I'd build for something like next years CBP. So unless I get a sudden epiphany, I'm going to sit next years race out and get some WIPS done.
  15. This green is a Duplicolor called Alpine Green Pearl. I think it's pretty close to seafoam green.
  16. Oh yes. There is not a single idea there that I don't just love. Well done sir.
  17. Excellent. So after smoothing the red oxide, I laid the grey. Tomorrow I'll sand that smooth and thin it out so that the red oxide starts to peek through. Then I'll foil and decal, and then start with the weathering powders. Edit: I've decided to throw a very thin coat of a standard body color, and go for the classic patina finish like the truck below.
  18. I've known Ron for a while both online and face to face and I know he's gonna make this right. I can't say whats going with him, but from what I've heard it's been a rough year. I've sent him a text. If he doesn't reply, I'll try calling him.
  19. Guys if you'll indulge me, I have an old custom build that has been languishing to long. Since it's mostly done I'm going to make it my Christmas break project. I'm going to rat it out. Make it look like someone's project car that just got too long in the tooth. So if you don't mind I'm going to it here before I start the '56.
  20. This looks outstanding!!!!! It is crazy how right that body looks to me. Looking forward to seeing more.
  21. Thanks very much guys. Variety is always my goal. I don't build run of the mill, that's for sure.
  22. Guys thanks very much for the compliments. Much appreciated. I do have another theme build in the planning stages.
  23. Okay, I'm thinking about a very 50's-esque R&B infused rock band with the following lineup. Billy Joel - lead vocals & keyboards Paul McCartney - bass guitar & backing vocals Brian May - lead guitar Phil Collins - drums Prince - rhythm guitar & backing vocals Okay guys now close your eyes and imagine these cats ripping up Johnny Be Good. I rest my case.
  24. Some great stuff Harry.
  25. Wow. What a great collection of work.
