  1. You can also use MS Word to shrink images if you don't have PP. You lose a minimum of detail in the resizing. To keep things simple, just print it out on regular paper and then add a piece of clear packing tape over it to give it a little thickness and gloss.
  2. Ah we finally get a good look at whats been done. A lot of things going on stylistically, it'll be interesting to see where this ends up.
  3. Thanks for the ataboys guys, more soon.
  4. Thanks guys.
  5. Hard to say. Most roll bars aren't much larger than 3" diameter. I think it looks fine.
  6. Very nicely done! So how was the casting of the clear hood on your kit? Mine was terrible.
  7. Looks to me that they took too many styling cues from the recent Camaro. So many sharp edges. Corvettes should be curvy and smooth in my oh-so-humble opinion.
  8. Whats not to like about that? Nice work!
  9. Looking good! I don't know if you've used that '33 Willys 427 Cammer engine before, but the blower parts are not cast well. You will want to find a replacement.
  10. Yep, Krylon Ruddy Brown primer. And no, the acrylic seems to hang on just fine. When I was using the 70% alcohol it does get a little soft and will peel off if you aren't careful. So I would apply the alcohol, scrub a bit and then wash the alcohol off with water and scrub a little more. Wash, rinse, repeat.
  11. Thanks Chris.
  12. Since the Cougar CBP seems to be defunct, I'll move this to the workbench section. I'm building this for a themed contest this October. This is the AMT '69 Cougar. I'm building it seventies style with a rake and a tunnel rammed big block. I'm enjoying the weathering. Aside from the primer, the body is all done with acrylic craft paints applied with a sponge. Lots more rust coming up. Plenty of washes and grime. The front fenders will stay in grey primer but look pretty neglected. The hood will be another color as well. More soon.
  13. Man. I would love some Model A variants of the Revell deuces. In a lot of ways. I prefer the Model A bodies over the model B.
  14. I cant wait to see what you come up with. I'm doing a pirate themed rod too. My Jolly Roger Merc. http://s53.photobucket.com/albums/g73/Jantrix/Jolly%20Roger/

    32 Ford's

    Agreed.
  16. Just out of curiosity is anyone else even in this CBP besides me and Chuck?
  17. Well..............models are cheap. Built whatcha got with whatcha got. It ain't gotta be a $250 super aftermarket/photo etched/pegasus wheeled/PPG painted wonder. As long as you're enjoying it.
  18. I just picked this up on a trade and I'm unfamiliar with it. Whenever I see this kit on a store shelf, the box always features a stock build up so I was a bit surprised to see the gasser parts and an optional El Camino style top for it. As I don't see many build ups of this kit, so I figured I'd ask. Any quirks or problems with this kit I should know about before I start the planning process? Good, bad, ugly? Thanks.
  19. Whoa, most impressive work. I'll be following along.
  20. Thats a pretty deep channel. Well done.
  21. Some shots. I'm not entirely happy with the way the body has turned out but there is lots of weathering to do so we will see how it goes.
  22. Well done. There will be more to come I'm sure.
  23. Since everyone has covered the gambit on what a great build this is, I'd like to chime in here and compliment your excellent photography skills. I'd also like to hear how you do windshields and rear glass. From the inside it looks like they somehow fit flush?
  24. You know it's just gonna be a matter of time before Cranky adds a flathead, some wide whites and calls it the Rat Pod. And personally I'd rather have a Catwoman rider figurine.
