I think you are going to cover up a lot of groovy work with all the plumbing for the turbos. Any thought on just adding a centrifugal supercharger to it, opposite that awesome alternator?

I really like th color scheme. I like how you painted the cowl that flows into the body line. The model A tail lights are a cool touch. Well done.

I've always been a function over form kinda guy. I think though if I knew my car was gonna be shot for a mag, I'd make double sure she was showing her best assets.

Welcome to the forum Joey. That's a lot of questions. I'll do my best to answer some and these are just my opinion. Put away the brush paints. They should be for detailing only. Airbrush or rattle can everything you can. If a part like an engine is in two halves, by all means glue them first. Primer is always a good idea, because it will help you spot any flaws before you lay paint. For engines, chassis, interiors I'm a big fan of Krylon rattle cans. Shoot me a PM if I can help.

Its a whos-a-whatsis that goes onto the doodle-hopper, but only with the taller end next to the whatcha-ma-callit. If not is just looks silly.

x2. Looks like a Revell '37 Ford chassis and where did you find a 1/24 nailhead?

I love the attention to detail. I've seen this kit done quite a bit, and even in contest cars, people fail to remember the chrome trim on the taillights.

Take this for what it's worth, but you will notice a distinct lack of feedback since you started posting videos. Most forum readers do NOT want to take the time to watch them, myself among them. Give us some decent photos and a brief description and you will see a lot more interest in your work.

I have this small scale submarine that my son built years ago and is now a broken mess. It is a little long for a traditional drop tank salt flat racer, but I thought why not put two engines in it, and just go with it? I figure a pair of nice flatties with some speed equipment would be ideal. As a completely fictional racer, period-correctness isn't an issue. So feel free to make recommendations for my fictional salty, I'd appreciate any input.

Maybe the big ol round headlights from the Johan Mercedes 500k kits. But pull them farther up into the valley between the grill and the fenders on a custom post.

I built the Salty Dog version as a kid. Nice to see it again. Hows the decals?

The MPC '67 Charger Street Machine. I first picked this kit up in '84 I guess and when it was done, it was a great representation of the cars grew up around in my neighborhood. A blown hemi, wide tires in the rear, traction bars and I love a fastback. I built two more which I still own. The first is a gasser style street freak and the next a pro-streeter. Some of the oldest builds I still own. Not the best kit by anyone's estimation, but I sure liked it.

So you threw some wheels on a dustbuster, big deal.

That looks great for a first model. I think you have some good skills and the build looks clean. Keep at it!
