  1. This mostly aimed at our newer members and not any one particular person. When posting pics of your work, please just post the picture. No thumbnails that may or may not open to a larger pic. To click a thumbnail and get a pic the same size as the thumbnail is maddening! No links to your album or to the pic in your album. Yes, we want instant gratification. You want to impress us, show us the pics! Posting pictures is very easy. We have a tutorial in the New to the Forum section. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52417 If your pics are too large, there is a function on almost every photo album site that will automatically resize your pics to a usable size when you download them. Find it. If you do not already have a Photobucket or Fotki membership get one. They are free and the easiest albums to use and be used by us if we want to peruse your work. This ain't rocket surgery.

    Psycho

    YEAH! Way cool. Nicely done.
  3. Great looking trucks. Makes we want to break out another kit.
  4. Wait ................. what? Man that sucks.
  5. Nice paint work, but it sure looks like you are a chronic non-finisher like the rest of us.
  6. Looking good.
  7. Around here lately, that seems pretty likely. In any case, your blue/white version is looking fantastic. I love it. Well done. Now I wanna see the rest. And that Fairlane too!
  8. Man I really like where you are at with this build. However one thing really bugs me. The engine. It all looks like it's the same color(s), identical weathering on all parts of it. That seems a bit unrealitic. I think you need to add some contrast. Parts that have weathered differently and pull your eye toward them as stand out detail. Just food for thought.
  9. Some very cool projects! Welcome!
  10. Where did you come up with this? This would be perfect in my Jolly Roger Merc.
  11. Why not? I gotta say this is the first time I've ever heard of anyone using a hole saw on a plastic model. Keep it going. This is just crazy enough to work.
  12. This is the only blatantly incorrect thing you posted Rob. We have seen plenty of evidence to the contrary here. Now I have to ask. You keep going on about strength. Exactly what are you doing with models where you need more strength than you get with a Tenax bond or your standard gap filling CA glue? Slot cars?
  13. Two excellent ideas. Yer bringing me around Chuck.
  14. I like what I'm seeing so far. Are these the wheels you'll be using? They look a bit beat up.
  15. Don't forget you lengthened the chassis when you added the Z. So should have problem adding the flattie.
  16. Very interesting. Keep it going. And get a band-aid.
  17. Got any WIP shots Shawn or can you tell us what kits/parts/accessories you used to build this from. That would put the question to bed pretty well.
  18. That is where YOU are wrong. We have had people rebuilding and posting diecasts here for years. Everything from Hot Wheels to Franklin Mint. And now you come around and try to tell people they don't belong here? I think it's you who doesn't belong fella. I'm done with ya.
  19. I've used Elmers for glueing mirrors for years. When I bother to add them that is.
  20. You should have called them out IN THEIR THREAD if they were trying to pass off diecasts as their own work. This way they would have had the opportunity to defend themselves. Posting up some silly rant after the fact only shows your own need for attention. Oh and if a person repaints and redecals a diecast - it's still a model and worthy of being shown here. EDIT- Try spell check out. You might like it.
  21. I've seen Johns builds in person. He does some excellent work.
  22. Okay you lost me back with that super sectioning job, but I think now I'm back on board. I have a suggestion now. With the sweeping lines of the fenders, that rear sedan roofline doesn't work aesthetically anymore. How about dropping the roof further in back to a fastback style. Maybe match the angle of the back of the rear fender?
  23. Well my face might not be that familiar, but I'm planning on being there. I've never done a national contest and I'm itching to try one.
  24. Looking good!
