I used to manage an autozone in battle creek michigan. Thia guy came in with this maverick. He had a torino cobra jet and a tornado hit and dropped a tree across the midsection. It was all origibal and numbers matching. Haggerty cut him a big check and let him keep the remains of the torino. So he pulled the powerplant. Built it up and put it in it. One of my top 10 "met in real life" cars

Hot Wheels 1/25 Tribute - "Sweet 16" - Custom Corvette
StockBoresMe replied to RestoModGuy's topic in Model Cars
As a hot wheels collector and scale auto enthusiast I just wanted to pay respect one more time on my 4th time visiting this thread. In my opinion you captured the theme perfectly. These cars are part of history. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for your 7th replica- 33 replies

Super cool build and theme. I can't wait to see the beach bomb. Are you going with THE original hot wheels beach bomb with the surfboard sidepockets?- 33 replies

Got mine in the mail today. Extremely happy with the outcome. The body will be mostly stock with a heavily modified frame. A twin blown hemi from the 53 studebaker kit, and most likely the foose fd100 wheelset

Nice collection. I favor that red iroc the most. Which is your favorite?

Its really starting to shape up. Keep at it! I'm anxious to see the next round of pics -
We got all our details taken care of. Im a bit late in sending mine due to a state patrolman causing me a week without finances. But all will be well in just a few more days. As for the kit I'm sending. I made sure its something a little out of the comfort zone.

That things sick! It looks like one of those australian tire shredding exhibition racers.

This is a simple curbside kit I got as a bonus in a trade. As I was unboxing a package my 6 year old daughter was watching because what kid doesn't like seeing presents opened. Little Chloe has a convertible obsession. As soon as she saw the corvette she claimed it. She did quiet a bit of the work. Painting the purple interior. As well as some black inside after I did the main outline. To date this is my favorite build. She helped with the majority of the assembly as well. But the colors and decal choices were 100% here. Right down to the dinosaur on the front

Way cool. I dig the paint scheme. It has an "ironman" feel to it

Before I go on an list what I have I would like to see if anyone would be interested in plastic model kits(automotive) for small lots of them. I have about 4,000 in the original blister packs dating from 1991 until now

You bested a foose design! Amazing!

A very unique take on the shelby cobra. A much better visual improvement over a stock shelby. 2 thumbs up

I like the 4 cyl ball. Which leads into my opposite idea. "Can you drag it?!" Lets see some big blocks and wide tires on a bmw isettas and triumph spitfires. No muscle cars allowed. Only cars that came as a 4 cylinder in full 8 second quarter mile pro street dress

I have the perfect kit to pass along. Count me in! My comfort zone is muscle cars

Looks similar to the spoiler in the mpc rerelease 73 mustang. Pm me if you need one. When i get home I'll snap a pic of it next to a ruler so you can see if its close to the correct width

I just want to be the 1st to point out the alien riding shotgun! -
I know a lot of us use zap, super clean, and purple power for your resto and oopsy correcting. Well I was at my local dollar tree and found this 64 oz bottle.... And it cost a whopping dollar! Works just as good as the stuff in the purple bottles

I've seen the same recommendations about the red gelly pen. I haven't tried it but I do know regular flat white testors enamel will not dry on rubber. Again I've never tried this method but I hear acrylic paints dry on rubber

1930fordpickup is a great trader. I can not express how happy I was opening my package to find what I traded for plus a few bonuses he threw in the box just because hes such a good guy

Super cool. Did you do the widebody or did it come like that?
