  7. Awesome work, both the car and the scene look spot-on!
  8. Thanks, guys! Yup, prices aren't bad at all considering it's been out of production for a while...I got this one a couple months ago for $14
  9. Nice work, that looks pretty cool. I totally forgot about those chrome valve covers, I'll have to see how firmly mine are glued on...a part swap may be in order.
  10. A pair of recently completed Fast & Furious builds. First is Tej's '63 Galaxie from Fast Five, based on the AMT Millenium kit. Overall not a bad kit for its age, except the engine and bay were pretty crude looking. So I swapped the engine with one from a newer NASCAR kit, added an air flow panel, and called it a sleeper. The bumpers also were a bit rough with bad seams and flaky chrome, so I stripped those and redid them in BMF. The dog dish hubcaps were drawn in SketchUp and 3D printed at Shapeways. Paint is Tamiya Smoke over Flat Black (with some selective polishing) to recreate the patina of the 1:1. Next is Brian's Toyota Supra from Furious 7, based on the Tamiya kit with ZoomOn Models transkit. I was not really impressed by the transkit: the exhaust replacement was kind of crude, the grille insert was warped, the tires were roughly recast Aoshima parts, there were fit issues with the PE brakes, and the chrome stickers self-destructed thanks to the too-strong adhesive on the clear film. The front spoiler and lights were nicely done, and I'm happy with how it turned out, but considering how much I had to replace or repair I think if I had to do it over again I would have skipped the transkit and just made my own parts. I did add a few other details to get it closer to the movie appearance, including Sparco seats by Hobby Design, a correct three-spoke steering wheel, and a tower brace. As always, any comments/criticisms are welcome
  11. Excellent work, the detail you've added is impressive!
  12. Nicely done. I always liked this casting, and wish it had been one they did as part of their 1/24 line
  13. Add me to the list of interested builders as well. I've been hoping to see one of these and this prototype looks fantastic!
  14. Awesome work, that turned out great!
  15. Excellent job, I built one of these years ago and would *not* want to attempt it as a 24-hour build. Hats off to you!
  16. Beautiful work, that looks great! I'm also curious to hear how the build was
  17. Great idea and excellent work! Glad to see I'm not the only one who has recreated some of my toys in 1/25
  18. Very cool, that turned out great!
  19. Nice work! I have one of these on the bench right now, hoping to get it finished soon!
  20. That looks fantastic, nicely done!
  21. Awesome work on both! I may have painted/foiled the vent window frames, otherwise I think you nailed the "alter ego"!
  22. Awesome work, and I love the Simpsons' reference!
