  1. Based on the AMT Ecto-1A kit, converted to its first appearance in the '84 movie. It has a Monogram grille/bumper, Modelhaus rear bumper, parts box wheels/tires and mirrors, stripped interior, and custom glass. Decals & license plates were drawn up in Illustrator. Since cars like this are often used as dumps by their owners, I loaded the back with miscellaneous debris (including a few Easter eggs from then-current movies). As always, any comments/questions/criticisms are welcome.
  2. Nicely done, you did some very clean work here!
  3. Nice looking conversion! I had an '84 about 20 years ago, and always wanted to get another one some day.
  4. I've built and have had ideas for redoing more of my former toys in 1:24/5, so I love the idea and your execution of them is fantastic! I never would have thought of using the Pegasus Ts, but they really fit the design. Looking forward to seeing more!
  5. Very cool, that's a great looking display!
  6. Very cool, it's great to see one done as a non-SS!
  7. Excellent job, I always liked the shooting brake look!
  8. Great looking highboy!
  9. Excellent work on the build and the weathering, that turned out great!
  10. Nice clean build of an unusual subject!
  11. Thanks, guys! I hadn't heard about that, but I knew it had been somewhat abused for filming so it doesn't surprise me. Apparently the burnout was an unscripted and unwelcome stunt that wasn't appreciated.
  12. Great job on the build and nice choice of colors, that came out fantastic!
  13. That's great, nice work! Any plans to make Ward's Fairlane?
  14. That's a great looking Vette, nice work!
  15. Some great looking builds here! Here are a couple of mine: In addition to the classic/muscle/rod subjects, Monogram was *the* stock car source for a time...nothing else came close! ...and finally, I appreciated some of their oddball subjects:
  16. Don't know how I missed this one when it was first posted, but I'm glad it came back up to the top - that's some beautiful work you've done!
  17. Thanks, guys! I really, *really* considered it, and may still in the future, but until I'm 100% sure I want to add them I was keeping them off... They were something I drew up in Illustrator and had printed as decals. Joseph at Fireball Moedlworks did the white layer, and I printed the colors on BMF decal stock. That's my understanding. I heard that it's still around, but a little worse for wear after so many years.
  18. It looks like it might be similar to their '68 Mustang kit, modified from an earlier diecast release. Parts swapped easily between that and the '68/'69 Charger kits.
  19. Nice clean work on this!
  20. That's a fantastic looking car, nice work!
  21. Mostly a combination of AMT '32 Phaeton body & seats, Revell '32 Highboy chassis, and MPC Firebird engine. The headers, blower, and carbs came from B-N-L Resins; valve covers from Calnaga Castings; and PE from Model Car Garage. Also has lots of scratchbuilt items including the shocks, air bags, radius rods, radiator braces, fuel/brake lines, pulleys, belts, throttle linkage, ignition wires, and compete exhaust system.
  22. Nicely done, that classic paint scheme looks great on it
  23. Two of my all-time favorite hot rods, and Danbury knocked them both out of the park! I particularly like the working tool box panels in the doors of the Dream Truck
  24. That looks fantastic, you've made a much better choice of color! Really like the wheels, too
