  1. Yes, I used the CD3-058 Silverado grille from Canuck 3D Model Parts. It dropped right in and had great detail.
  2. Thanks! I wasn't sure about the flames out of the box, but I have to admit once they're painted they're a fun accessory.
  3. Very clean work, and I really like all the small details and upgrades you've included!
  4. Great looking set! I kept thinking Iwanted to try that locomotive, nice to see one built up.
  5. That's a great take on the T'rantula, excellent work!
  6. Excellent build!
  7. Impressive work, that turned out great!
  8. Awesome job on this!
  9. Very clean, nice work!
  10. Very cool, nicely done!
  11. Another great looking build, nice work!
  12. UPDATE! First, after trying a few options, I decided to use decals to knock down the extra bright, extra clear headlight lenses and make them look more like the sealed beam units used at the time. Here's a comparison, the original lens on the outside and the new lens by the grille: While I was fiddling with it, I also made a new license plate (the one in the kit just didn't look right) and painted up the camera, remote control unit, and flame trail acccessories that were included in the kit:
  13. Excellent build!
  14. Great job on this! If you're still looking for the Georgia flag, let me know.
  15. That turned out great, especially knowing how difficult that kit can be. Nicely done!
  16. Beautiful work on all three!
  17. Very clean, nice work! I really like this kit as well.
  18. Thank you! Agreed, the tires are probably the biggest sticking point on that kit. These were resin copies of the tires that came on Jada's 1/24 sand rail diecast. I'm afraid I can't remember where I got them, though...I think it may have been something Alan Raab (Ma's Resin) made?
  19. Saying "yes" to a seaplane is always the right move. Nicely done!
  20. Thanks, guys! I liked what Revell was doing here, and am thinking about adding some "unofficial" kits to the group.
  21. Very cool!
  22. Great looking build, nicely done!
  23. Thank you! The Honcho had a couple of weird parts, but otherwise was not too bad. CJ wheels would have been a great option...I know what Revell was going for here, but I think they missed. I mostly went with these because I had them left over from the GMC snow plow, so I knew they'd fit the tires and inner wheels.
