    73 Porsche RS

I built one a few years ago, much better kit to put together than the 911, you'll have no problems.

Looking good, I built the cabriolet kit a few years ago, apart from getting the stance correct i didn't have the problems you mentioned, but took a lot of work to get it from looking like a 4x4

    41 Willys!

Very nice build, loving the two tone paintwork....
  4. The exhaust needs passing through the inner wing before attaching it to the manifold, just like the 1:1, see section 21 of the instructions.
  5. A few decals and the engine bay is finished
  6. Another reason for not fixing them onto the body before everything got painted is because if you look at this photo of the real Chevelle, you'll see a definite line between the end caps and rear wing, fixing them on before paint would risk getting the line filled in with paint.
  7. Looking good, I'll be following with interest, I've just been contacted by Scale Modelling Now magazine, Revell have supplied one for a product and build review, I've been asked to have it displayed on the stand at New year's IPMS Nationals next year, no pressure there then....
  8. To be honest, if Revell hadn't supplied the kit I probably wouldn't have bought it, I'm sure glad they did, as I'm thoroughly enjoying this build, intact I'm enjoying it so much I'm thinking of buying another one and building it in a totally different colour, with the other wheels and a parchment interior.
  9. Front bumper fitted, rapid setting epoxy along the top and a few drops of UV resin at the sides held everything in place.
  10. Battery refitted, I took it out so I could get the clamp in while holding the front grille in place, top radiator hose and air cleaner fitted, so far the parts fit on this build has been faultless.
  11. A few clamps and some strong epoxy resin to the rescue, the grille was a good fit,if not a little springy, certainly needs to be held in place while the glue sets up.
  12. Stunning build, the paint finish is superb.
  13. Getting close to the finishing post, I hate when you have to stretch the body over the interior and chassis, luckily i didn't year anything crack while doing so....
  14. Very nice build....
  15. I've got more lacquer paints than I'll ever use, but strangely i still buy more, mainly for future projects, I do end up buying other modelling paints mainly Testors, because i think they might have a use sometime down the line.
  16. Superb build, love the colour combination.
  17. if you need any help in obtaining one, let me know, there's a few second hand kit dealers I know, one of these are bound to turn up, usually a lot cheaper than Ebay.
  18. that one has been disconnected for a while, I can be found on Ebay or a few second hand kit dealers, but does command a higher price than when it was new. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F174105829559 I've seen them go for more than this seller is asking.
  19. Back to the Chevelle, just the windows to fit, then the bodyshell can be mated with the chassis, for this I'm using the new UV resin from Revell, it seems the same stuff I've been using I got from China, I only bought the Revell resin for the fine applicator, when it runs out, I'll refill it with the resin from China, just the side vent windows to fit now.
  20. Another one added to the stash, I originally bought one of these 6 years ago when it was first released, sold it on a couple of years ago, kind of regretted it and has took me some time to track down another one, note to self, be careful what models you sell on.
  21. Nice paint finish, I'll be watching your build up with interest, I've just bought a few of the Nova kits.
  22. Another one added to the stash, another Revell model that is near impossible to find, thanks to my good friend Shay O'Dowd (Dublin Boy)who put out the feelers and actually found someone in the U.S that had one (Kerry Ingram) and was willing to sell it on.
  23. Too be honest i wasn't too sure, it's been a few years since I was a member of the IPMS, I'm going to be re-joining again this year.
  24. Starting to look a little more like a tractor....
