With the green you're going with for the body, the three main interior colours were red, beige or green, so the grille will need to be painted to match.
  2. The Earlier Rabbits were imported from Germany, and apart from the bumpers and side marked lamps, they were the same as a European model, I forget the year when they started to be built in the U.S, which it i remember correctly was an old Chrysler factory, the interior was changed using softer materials and the suspension was softened up to suit the American market.
  3. The rear lamps are correct for an earlier Rabbit, after the facelift the rear lamps got larger, and the front headlamps changed from round to square, when i worked for VW from 1987-93 we had a nice MK1 Rabbit in the compound, the interior was totally different to a European version.
  4. Decals arrived from Motobitz www.motobitz.uk this morning, It's the first time I've ordered any of their products, I didn't even knew they existed until last year when I spotted their stand at the Ipms nationals
  5. There now in a trading estate in Wrangaton,Devon.
  6. Very nice build, I think I need to build another old timer.
  7. When i was living in Stourbridge in the early 1990's, there was a Quantum car dealer on Enville street, used to pass it every day.
  8. Looking good, that blue is a pretty good match for VW blue that came out in '67.

The engine should be MG engine maroon, I'm sure you'll find something that side of the pond, but rustoleum do a shade that's pretty spot on, don't forget that the front grille inserts need to be painted the same colour as the interior.
  10. There van was originally a Citroen service van, although I'd love to know what happened to it.
  11. Needed some decals for the Ebbro and Heller Citroen H Vans, but couldn't decide which ones I was going to go with, so I've ordered one of each, Motobitz really do some superb decals and resin parts.
  12. I really shouldn't have switched on the computer this afternoon, but I have had these sitting in my basket at Spot models for a while.
  13. I've been thinking of adding one of these to the stash since they were released, picked this one up at a good price in Hong Kong
  14. Just recieved my latest order from MCW lacquer, now I can crack on with the Chevelle 396SS
  15. Beautiful, I'd love a 1:24th scale model of one, growing up in Spain in the 1960's and 70's, of course they were produced over there as the Seat 850, they were very popular.
  16. Superb work, what's not to like.....
  17. Good to know there's something out there that you can use on Molotow liquid chrome without dulling the finish, thank you for sharing.
  18. Thank you for the recommendations, I've sent emails to both companies, hopefully I'll get some nicer looking wheels and tyres for the Jeep.
  19. I have the Monogram Jeep CJ7 kit but I'd prefer to build it with steel wheels as per the photo, is there anything out there in resin or something out of another kit available ??
  20. Ebbro kits certainty aren't the cheapest, but the details are superb, and the box is full of parts, in my mind there well worth what they sell for.
  21. Finally Aoshima have included the proper RoStyle wheels, this one is one of 3 kits that I've bought this year, much better than previous years.
  22. This stuff works a lot quicker, I also use it as a paint remover, around £3 a bottle
  23. Very nice build, I'm liking the subtle weathering.

  25. Thanks David, I'm not sure when I'll get around to building it through, due to work I'm lucky if I get a few days a month to get time to sit at the building bench, and then I have to crack on with the two kits i have to build that were supplied by Revell, but it seems Ebbro kits get sold out pretty quickly and then they seem to pop up on eBay at a highly inflated price.
