  1. Well you learn something new every day, but doing a bit of searching on the net, found a few images of the older style wheel, don't think I've ever seen a road wheel on a car held on with just one bolt, any idea why they changed the design ?? Old Wheel Newer Wheel
  2. I hope not, the wheels on the DS were held on with 5 bolts .....
  3. Got it fitted today, just the rest of the glass shelves and the door to fit, I reckon I'll get between 3 and 4 models on each shelf
  4. I've been using the same kind of stuff for a while, made by Winsor & Newton, acrylic flow improver, and Testors acrylic thinners thins most artist acrylic paints ready for airbrushing,
  5. Airfix also boxed this kit, it's the same Aoshima kit, although you only get a decal for the boot badge and not the chrome badge in the Aoshima kit
  6. Photo's of the finished article, it will be officially announced at the German toy fair at the end of the month

  11. I was thinking of adding lights in the top, but I'll make my mind up when it's up on the wall, I have a 3 lamp spot light on the ceiling in the hobby room, so I might not need anymore lights ....
  12. Finally got my hands on one of these, now once it's been fitted on the wall in the hobby room, all my models can safely be put on show .... The glass shelves and doors will be fitted once it on the wall,

  14. A lot of the time, it's when I put in multiple bids on eBay, and end up winning both kits, but other times I buy them with the idea of building them as different models

  17. Yes, it's been sometime since we've caught up with each other ....
  18. I do think it's one of Trabants brightest colours, well the roof is finished, the right hand side is finished, but I'm not 100% happy with the drivers side, I might be getting a repaint on the one side, good job I have loads of the paint left over ...
  19. Cheer's Jim, I think I'm getting used to using this paint, not the easiest paint I've ever used,
  20. Cheer's Jim, I'm really enjoying this build, infact I have a lot of fun with all the other Revell kits I've built lately, Mini Cooper, VW Beetle, I really need to get round to doing one of there Citroen 2CV kits.
  21. These later Revell Trabbi kits are so far away from the older kits, the quality is in a different world compared to the older model of it .....
  22. You'll enjoy building this one, I've got the saloon and Universal on the bench at the moment, I've had no problems with parts fit yet ....
