I don’t care for the exhaust that's in this kit. So, I made a couple of mufflers and exhaust tips and attached them to the crossmember with hidden hangers.? Then just a couple of short connector pipes and that’s it.? I also got a start on attaching the chrome. At first I thought they put the wrong hood in the kit, since I could only find pics of Cameos with the two spears. After a bit of searching, it turns out they were a dealer installed option.? I think the “Chevrolet 3124” fender badges it came with belong on a Cameo only? ?

“Tooth” is required if you want your body filler to stick.

Thanks everyone!? The Mercedes badge is photo etch that is included in the kit along with the badging on the trunk, dashboard and steering wheel.

I just found this the other day at a new hobby shop in town which surprised me.? I have some left from my previous bottle that I dumped into an empty Testors paint bottle, and just dip the looper in there. Alcohol seems to clean this stuff up I believe.

I like this Testors stuff. I use a glue looper made for thin CA to apply it in small amounts.

I managed to get the glass set and the gasket painted. The tailgate and tail lights are permanently fixed also.

Care must be used when gluing parts to painted surfaces.

Suck all those missing pieces out of the carpet monster, never to be found again the vacuum does.

That roof looks great on it. I’m not sold on the window insert either. I think I agree with Steve…enlarge the opening bit by bit until it looks right?

I found some Testors clear parts cement at a new shop in town so I grabbed it and the Evergreen. The other items from another local shop.

I tried flat clear first, but it had absolutely no sheen, so I shot some Tamiya SG clear over it and it’s more the look I was after. Thanks for looking everyone.

I considered that but opted not to.? Yeah!? I stole the one from the Cameo kit which fits a bit better. Yes it is Mark, and that’s exactly what I did. Thanks.?
