I have the MPC ‘67, but I hear it’s not a great kit. Yours is looking real nice Mike!? Nice touch with the factory floor mats.?
-
Beautiful work Steve!?

I just finished this one. Although it is a really beautiful kit, I had bad “luck” with it.? I have never screwed up more minor stuff as I did with this one. I ruined the hub caps trying to paint them so I made up some Rudge wheel adapters for it. Paint is Tamiya LP-15. Anyways, thanks for looking.

To WIP or not to WIP

What Bill said… and I always put a link to my under glass thread in the build thread and vice versa. That way anyone searching can find both…if they’re interested.? -

Thanks Bruce. I think I will give up attempting oob…it’s just that every kit seems to need improvement.? Thank You David. The color is actually Duplicolor GM engine blue.? Thanks David. That is the way the seat is molded, unlike the Cameo kit which has a smooth seat. Thanks Mathias -
To WIP or not to WIP

I agree, WIP is where all the action is.? I will occasionally browse the Under Glass section, but usually only open threads that I have been following the WIP or is something that I intend to build….and vehicles that I really admire.? -
Time to get my butt back to the bench.?

Sorry to hear about your misfortune Carl. I wish you a complete and speedy recovery.

I really liked that blue paint job you did. Couldn’t you have convinced your buddy to copy it on his truck?? -
Yes, welcome to the forum David. I look forward to seeing some of your work.?

The hood wants to slide forward and not sit where it’s supposed to, so I added a magnet in the cowl and a metal tab on the hood.? The tab actually came in handy.? It gave me something to clamp onto so I could paint both sides of the hood at one time. It sits nicely now!? I changed my mind on the color, since I have another project that I want to use the nail polish on. I printed the speedometer, got rid of the column shifter, finished off the interior and got the body painted. -

Thanks Steve. That is a possibility? -

Replace all those components now that used to be easily rebuildable.

I would call that a very light grey and not metallic at all? Here are the samples I have. The LP-14 mixed with white might work, or maybe they have an even lighter grey?

Excellent work all around Kurt! That is one bad a** looking truck.? Love all the little details you’ve scratch built. Good luck at the show.?
