Beautiful work David! That’s a really nice pair.??
  2. Nice work Bob! She’s a beauty.?
  3. What is this circled in red? I don’t see it on pictures I’ve googled. I’m not sure I’ve googled the exact same car though.
  4. Outside is where you’ll find the sunshine.
  5. Very nicely done Mario. Is that the kit chrome, or did you re-do it?
  6. Nice work Mozzi. That engine is going to look great in there with the yellow flames. I really like the look of those wheels too.?
  7. Different strokes for different folks is how the saying goes.
  8. I had considered just notching the grill back, but that would leave a real skinny sliver below the crossmember. I would likely have filled it so only a notch for the crossmember remained, and I am going to make a mesh grill for it. The lengthened hood also gives it a slightly unique look that isn’t unsightly…at least in my mind. BTW, that Ardun flattie you’re building is gonna look awesome in that truck!?
  9. Nice site. This kid looks like us when building these Plymouths.?
  10. Evidence should never be fabricated.
  11. Thank you Andrew!? Thanks Gary!?
  12. Thanks Michael. Because I channeled it and wanted to keep the hood. I would have had to section the grill too much in order to keep the hood level. I think the drastically sectioned grill would have looked odd. The lengthened hood is not nearly as obtrusive. Edit: Here it is with the sectioned grill which would still need to be lowered to get the hood level. I didn’t like the look of it.? I did have to section the radiator which also sits on top of the front suspension crossmember. So since I now have space, I added thickness to the rad to increase cooling capacity.?
  13. Thanks for the tips Guys. I didn’t want to move the column down below the clutch and brake pedals, so shortening the upper mount was the easiest in this case.?
  14. Thank you Steve!? Thanks Bob!?
  15. Definite improvement with the bobbed version.?
  16. That looks like it’s going to be one comfy interior. Nice work.?
  17. That looks great Jim.? I wonder why they wouldn’t make it to fit in the first place? Could it be possible that all AMT ‘57 T-Birds are not created equal…or more likely a little body warpage after packaging?
  18. Fascinating. I’ve never heard of marbled bricks before. I did buy a few dozen regular ones that I use to make silicone molds in.
  19. Days, (as in daylight hours) are now getting shorter.
  20. Mind your P’s and queues.
  21. I just glued the dash in place and went to put the steering column in place when I realized it hangs WAAY too low.? A vehicle like this with such a cramped interior really needs a tilt column.? I hate doing mods like this after paint. Lesson learned…maybe.? Anyhow…I managed to file the slot up higher and clip the mount shorter.? I shortened the column a tad too. I also shortened the shifter a bit and switched the piston for a ball. I did manage stay up past my bedtime and get some paint on the body last night. It’s Tamiya LP-20 light gunmetal.
  22. She cleans up pretty good David.? And the car is looking great!?
  23. Great work Jeff. That engine is a killer, and I like the interior…especially the shifters.??
  24. I fitted my central vacuums upholstery brush with a perforated screen so I don’t suck up any parts. I don’t want to have to go digging through the vac bag…again.?
  25. Wow, those are some funky looking headers.?
