I got this car a year ago and finally located some replacement tires. I think they are a little large. There was only 1 tire in it and didn't know how worn it was because it was connected to the friction motor. I what to paint it but I'm told to leave it the way it is. And the friction works perfectly.

Got another one of these yesterday. But I was worried it would be damaged because of the box they used to ship it. No support to keep the bottom from falling in. The model box was crinkled a bit but . Luckily the kit was undamaged.

Got some stuff today. The Shaken Not Stirred bottle shaker. Tried it out and it works pretty well. Battery or AC power. The 1957 Caddy. Molded in red :-(. But it has the clear glass. Some paint from the clearance section of Hobby Lobby. And scribers? I guess that's what you call them. And a Weekend Worrier GTO from Micheals. Got home and went into my stash room and there it is. Already had one. But not only that one. But I also have the kit that has the blue GTO on the lid. Ugh. I have to put photos of what I have on my phone so I can check if I have it or not. LOL

A Workaround For Shaky Hands?
ewetwo replied to Miatatom's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I have the same problem. Seems the more cautious I get trying to attach a small part like a side view mirror. The more I shake. The more I mess up. Foiling is a real challenge. -
Coming along nicely Al.

Back in the purple pond it goes. Trying to do the foiling messed the paint up to a point that I had to throw it back into the purple pond. I might just do it with no side chrome. I pull the knife lightly and in one direction and the knife has a life of its own going everywhere. Ugh! I know a local guy who is much better than me as a builder. I might just pay him to do the chrome. I really want this replica of my first car on the road.

Thank you Curt. Happy to know it'll work fine.
