Thank you Bob and Carl. I appreciate it. I was happy with it.

I don't know how old you are. But I'm over 60 and was brought up in a totally different world than what we have now. We use to take our cars to our neighbors business to support him as it was a small garage in town. We were friends and all. Had dinner at times. Then they hired another friend of ours son to help out. Our friend's son told his parents that the guy charges his customers according to how much money he thought each customer earned for a living. So at a party at their house. Another person complained because he had charged her $100 to replace the rear struts on her Nissan. I said "well you made out because I just paid $275 to him for the rear struts to be replaced in my Mercury Topaz! A decision was made then. Either we would be friends and not patronize their garage. Or become customers. We chose the first and even though we stopped going there. We still get together. Maybe try that with your friend.

Hey Greg, I have used Pledge Revive it with good results. The 57 Chevy in Under Glass I just finished. I coated it with Revive It. Now I didn't paint it black. It was molded in that color. But it does make it look darker and a nice shine. I do have 2 models where is has crazed. But you can just wash it off and re-coat it. One of them was a Rustoleum green and the other Model Masters orange. Now other models I coated using the same paints are fine. So I don't know why it happened. Some people coat the car before doing the silver/chrome trim. If they screw up. It washes right off. I'm no expert by any means. I used it because a forum member told me about it. Others might not recommend it. I'm still learning.

I got everything I was told to. Plus another kit that was $17 at Micheal’s and with a 50% off coupon from AC Moore. It was cheap. Good to practice on. But I’m also showing a Buick body that I sprayed the same duplicate-color on as the Fury. No primer. And it looks great. Who can figure.

I agree. I'd love to get a few of these also. We can only hope.

really nice build.

Thank you everyone. I appreciate your messages.

I keep learning so much by being a member of this forum and I want to thank everyone for your thoughts and comments. Tomorrow a new primer to try.

I have a compressor and air brush gun. I have to learn how to use them. Just a thought. I could always create this. The Plymouth time capsule.

Thank you. It was an easy. Stress free build. You need them once in a while right?

This was an easy build. I only painted the interior to jazz it up a bit. Silvered the chrome areas. And coated it with Pledge Revive It. So despite my painting disaster earlier. I finished this off. I should stick to color molded or preprinted kits.

That is a lot of Dukes of Hazard stuff. Make sure the replacement house is bigger.

Thank you all for your input. It is greatly appreciated. I have my work cut out for me. First stripping the Rustoleum primer. Just to see if Rustoleum worked with Rustoleum. I sprayed the cab of a truck that was primed with the Rustoleum primer with Rustoleum paint and it crinkled in spots. So I guess they are not compatible with each other either. That too will be going into the stripper and the Rustoleum primer in the trash.

we got hit a couple of weekends ago. Just freezing rain here last night.

OK. I’ll get it tomorrow. Do I soak all of the primed models in the purple pond? The fury is already in there? Or do I spray the Dupli-Color primer over it.
-
What is a good primer to use? And is any that are compatible with all spray paints? I have a ton of Rustoleum spray paints. Do I use Rustoleum primer for those? Thanks for the imput. It’s greatly appreciated.
-
I sprayed this 3 weeks ago with Rustoleum 2X ultra “bonds to plastics” primer. Today I sprayed Dupli-Color Perfect Match paint on it. Within seconds this occurred. What did I do wrong? It has to be the primer right? And what primer works with Dupli-Color. I have 5 kits sprayed with this primer on them.

Very nice. Love the grill in the green. one.

I got these today. The garage diorama tool kits were purchased at a local hobby store. The last ones and he didn’t know if he could order more. The 1955 Ford F100 was purchased at Micheal’s using an AC Moore 60% off 1 item coupon. That was $9.00 and change. And a jar of flat black paint.
