  1. Ok. Thank you for letting me know. I thought that might be the case but wasn't sure. I'll know better next time. And it's curing in the workshop located in the basement. So it's a bit cooler there. I should but it in the garage where it's warmer.
  2. Great looking build. Nice color combo for sure.
  3. I must have done something wrong. I primed a corvette body a few days ago. Yesterday I spray painted it. Today I re-sprayed it because there were some thin spots and when I did. The paint crinkled. So it's in the purple power bath. Should I have waited longer to re-spray it? I used Krylon primer and Rust-Oleum paint.
  4. welcome to the forum. It’s a great place to be and your work is wonderful.
  5. I was wary of putting the body together and then painting it as I didn't know how it would work out. But with super glue. The body is pretty secure. If I had know this I would have built the body. Fitted the sides on and try and make the seams disappear. Thanks for the comment. I appreciate them. And the trunk looks better in real life. Funny how the camera magnifies the fault. LOL
  6. I've never build a model where you had to actually glue the sides to the middle body. I think it came out ok.
  7. Those are stunning.
  8. Really nice
  9. I actually owned a 67 firebird with the overhead cam 6 with a 4 barrel card and a split exhaust manifold. That thing could really move for a 6 cylinder.
  10. And that is another great haul. A lot of people made out this week.
  11. I agree with you Joe. If you wait one will eventually come along. And the Mercedes 500K is nice. I have one on the shelf.
  12. What I got today. The blue fan, Omni directional antenna, sprayer, and the Edsel, Henry J, Pontiac Catalina, 1953 Chevrolet, and T-bird models all for $40 at an estate sale. The plastic colored bladed fans are almost as good as a metal bladed fan. And much better than what you can buy in stores now. The blade are kind of transparent when they are going which is cool and they are really quiet. I have several of those fans but not one that big. The Charger I got with a 50% off coupon at Micheal's. And the Packard and Firebird at a flea market.
  13. That is some haul! You do have to treat your self once in a while right?
  14. Now you just rub a dryer sheet on the paint to make it shiny and smooth again?
  15. Great call on the color. Matches perfectly.
  16. I have a couple of these to do and I'll be looking yours over closely. Not that mine will be this great. LOL
  17. Most people don't know her but Kylie Minogue. She is like a fine wine that gets prettier as she ages. Still hot at 50.
  18. That is really nice.
  19. I agree. It does look like the real deal.
  20. Yes. I think they stopped selling them because of the glue and paint fume issues.
  21. I haven’t taken it out of the package yet but looks so so. It will need some help as they’ve been around for a while. Paint ages and I’m sure the company wasn’t concerned about that. The Proshop Edsel has the best paint so far for me. But I have two Proshop Chryslers and will have to check them out.
  22. I’ve used the scotch bright pads after soaking models that needed purple power. Helps clean off the old paint but the body ended up being pretty well set afterwards for primer.
  23. I have the Mercedes and it’s a really nice kit. And looks great on the shelf.
