Looks great Ismael... Funny because I always do the hood last... :-) I have a 67 Chevelle all polished out now except the hood.

That paint is incredible ! TRuly amazing..I can not even begin to know how you do that LOL I used to live in ROchester as well...I like it there a lot and if I could get my wife to move, I'd move back in a second ! My best friend still lives there. I lived off rt. 441 in Penfield. Before that I lived on Alexander Street in the city. Moved to the Boston area in 1991, but I still miss Rochester...I worked at Stong Memorial Hospital when I was out there.

VEry nice...great paint schema. Where do you get that Mesh ? I want to build a Hertz SHelby (new one) and need that style mesh to replace the 06 Mustang GT grille...

Does the Tamiya Renault Alpine kit (not the rally version) have a full engine ? THe reason I ask is because there is not mention on the box...it says realistic engine detail, but I am not sure if this means a full engine, or just a deck. When I look at some other Tamiya kit it clearly says full engine..plus the stock kit (the Alppine) is almopst 10 bucks cheaper than the Rally version. Just curious if anyone can tell me if this has an engine. If so I think I'm going to have to buy it.

Looks great Izzy. WHats your trick on the realistic guage faces ? Are they in the Revell kit or do you make them ? Plus...that interior "black" is spot on..is that the Humbrol ? I need to paint a Mustang interior, and I've been thinking I'd have to mix a little grey in with the black to get the correct color. Is that what you did ? Anyway it looks great. Yup....looks great.

I had an email about this but I lost it *doh*. I am looking for the following parts numbers for the REvell 79 CAmaro Z/28. Front and rear glass Tail lights Headlights The reason I ask is because I acquired an unbuilt 79 Monogram kit...and the clear parts are "smoked"... While I can scratch build the glass, I do need at least the tail lights. I assume the recently re-released 79 Camaro is essentially the same as the old Monogram...so I can order them from Revell. Thanks.

I had this problem with 2 new mustangs and the 66 Mustang. Duplicolor primer and duplicolor spray to start...then tried nail polish. Then tried plastikote touch ups...crazing driving me crazy... Then I used testors lacquer on one of the mustangs and I got it...the other I sprayed very light coats of duplicolor...wet sanded in between. Finally worked. On the last Mustang (the 66), I used Kustom Kolors lacquer with no problem. (this after at least 4 attempts with Duplicolor) I will also say that I recently purchased and painted a recently released Revell 67 Chevelle. I used MCW Laquer and urethane clear.... and..... had no issues at all. No crazing, no issues. So I am hoping this was a result of improved styrene...because I literally painted the other kits the same as I always have...lets hope this is the styrene and not luck LOL

The BIG CAR CHALLENGE!!!
Jeff Johnston replied to Ron Hamilton's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'm in. I've been tossing the idea around of building another Edsel, so this is just the opportunity I need. I already know the colors, and have the kit. So yup, I'm in. -
This is the Mairi (TilT) kit from the 80's. The doors cut out and the door hinges open as part of the kit. Pretty much curbside, but IMHO its the best Pantera kit out there. I gotta try to score another one. It kills me that this mold is "somewhere". Has not been release again since to my knowledge.

Been worknig on this one lately. Back in the 70's my uncle owned this car. His was a 74 but close enough. MCW custom mixed Pantera Orange paint.

Question on Ferrari 308 kits
Jeff Johnston replied to ismaelg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I loved the 308 and 328 the best...Plus the GTO (80's vintage). I always thought the 308-328's were the best looking ferrari's of "modern times". oh what I'd gie to drive one !!! -
John. Actually the plug wires are part oif a pre wired distributor bought from Arrowhrad Aluminum Accessories. http://arrowheadaluminum.homestead.com/ I swear by these, and put one on every model I do. They are a few bucks a piece with the aliminum base... Or 2 buck each without. A buck shipping. So for 11 Bucks I get 5 distributors. You can choose several colors for both the cap and the wires.

now THAT is cool...very cool, well done and not too often seen build ! Excellent !

Hey nice Mopar. Nice touch on those tail pipes. Looks realistic.

Here is my finished 67 Mistang. Matched with a Replica's and miniatures non GT body kit...which included the rear panel and front grille emblem, side louvers (WAY better than the ones included in the kit), hubcaps and backup lights. Pained Duplicolor Whimbledon white with acrylic 2 part clear. Interior a shade of Plastikote red touch up paint. Opened and hinged the doors, and hinges the trunk. Comments and criticizm welcome !!!
