  1. Last one I did, I have to pt some sheet styrene to cover some gaps. So i got to thinking. if I put the frame together and painted it al as one piect, there woud be no gaps...but then how would I get the front forks on ?? I figure I'm not the ony one with this problem-question. Has any one figired how to get the front forks on a copper frame thats already been glued together? I guess I could cut the mounting pipe off and use straight brass rod to mount after. Buy why re-invent the wheel. I am wondering how anyone else might have fixed this.
  2. I use the same exact set up as Ken...this is a pic using that same set up, except I used a blue background. Sometimes putting a little color helps too..sometimes white is correct (blue would not have looked right on that green Celica...white was the right color). Or a darker blue...
  3. I noticed the same ting...but I have to honestly say that I will but a couple...It's not exactly right but it will be the only 70 out there... So I'll buy one nd if it goes together well I imaging I'll buy another..
  4. Still looking mighty fine MJ !!!!
  5. it's nice to see one of those done up differently. Not the classic leMans stripes..which I love...but you see them all the time.
  6. Thanks Bill...I guess I never thought of the 65...I have one somewhere, and I'll give it a try. Terry...the 67 is too small as well
  7. Somethign is blockoing the air from rushing out of the tip...you should take the whole thing apart and clean it. You may have a goober stuck on the pin blocking too. Just take it apart and clean it really well with lacquer thinner. Make sure nothing is blocked. Once you solve this and get it working, be patient. It takes a lilttle bit of practice to get the "hang" of it. Once you do you will never turn back.
  8. Hey Izzy...I actually saw this sitting no the table in Vince's room. Vince Craig B and I were shooting the breeze. I said "hey that looks like Ismae's Ferrari" and vince said......well it should because it is ! It looked great and inspired me to buy one...to build one day.
  9. Well I bought a really descent Resin 68 Falcon at NNL east. I was absolutely thrilled....25 bucks too ! The guy said to use a 68 Mustang frame.. Well...the 68 Stang frame is not even close. Not nearly wide enough. So I tried a Fairlane. Too long. The Cougar does not fit either.... I'd have to severly modify a 66 or 69 chassis Galaxie to fit.... OK so by now I am completely itrritated...not because of the 25 bucks, but because I was so looking forward to building it. Any suggestions on what might fit ? I don;t knwo who the resin dealer is...when I asked for a card he told me to ask Dave Burket (Model King). Though I bought a 68 Galaxie too and the 66 Galaxie frame is perfect... Thanks for any suggestions you all might have.
  10. DUUUUUUUUDE ........ When I saw these on the shelf I was not really taken...but wow that looks great...really nice work. Very slick....awesome...
  11. That's a great build. I like that its not somethign you see every day. I aqlso like the attention to detail...the seat belt harness looks real. Nice work !
  12. Hey guys I finished this one Thursday night, before I headed out to NNL East. Revell knocked it out of the park with these Choppers. I absolutely love these things.. Seat is fake leather. Paint it paint (no decals, all masked and painted) and the pipes are scratch built from plumbers solder, and polished up.
  13. what a nice build...looks like a real car !
  14. I did not realize I was talking to you Lyle on Friday night. I was one of the guys out front of the hotel talking with a group friday night. 25. Builder 100%... I have one kit I collect. It's the Model King issue of the 66 Hemi under glass...only because I am sitting in the crowd on the cover between my friends Brian and Warren LOL...that's the only one I'll not build. If I get the hankering to build one, I'll get he new AMT release.
