  1. the rib detail is part of a Replicas in Miniatures of Mayland Resin conversion kit. It also comes with non GT grill emblem and stock hubcaps. The side scoops are part of the kit as well.
  2. right side stripe done
  3. Good idea on the GT style emblem and fog lights. I agree it looks better than the GT grill.... I never thought of building a pony...I have a Ford V6 from a 95 Explorer (AMT) that might be convincing enough.... hmmmm...ideas LOL
  4. Paint....MCW Lime Gold. Next step is to mount the doors and put on the GT Rocker Panl stripe. Probably black... Then I will clear over the decel.
  5. Here is where I am on the AMT 67 Mustang. Build time is less for me these days because of a very busy time at work. However, I hope to have it done for the local show up here in October. I am planning Lime gold with black GT Rocker panel stripe.
  6. Wow Ismael....your killing me ! I am so not into that style, but I so into this build. What a way to break out ! Very impressive. JJ
  7. In the pic below you'll see a few of my grails. AMT 67 Galaxie. 2 boxed; one is completely unbuilt and the other is just a box (built it already) The Lindberg GT6 is built On the top you'll see a completely unbuilt bandai Fiat X 1/9 (I have another one that's built). This is ultra rare and usually ultra expensive. I paid about 50 bucks on ebay (it was listed wrong) The last one is the early 70's Star Truk which is a early to mid 70-s ford Ranger.
  8. I started this at the same time as my recently completed 71. It has the 71 440 and a modified hood from the 71. It is painted MCW Lime Green Metallic which is a factory 70 color.
  9. I painted this one with Plasti-kote touch up paints.. I put the 70 340 in it, and filled in the side scoops to make a plain Barracuda convertible. The flat hood is a Time Machine Resin piece. This kit fought me the whole way. The new 70 kit is a WAY better kit..but I had to do this one, as it was floating around in my head for a few months.
  10. BODINE......Are you a Chemung, NY Bodine ??? If you are you know what I mean. I come from the same area if you are...
  11. The 67 and 68 are actually the same kit, save the front grille. That said, I have built the 67 and I ran into a couple tricky parts. First, its a real tight fit with the engine when it goes in under the body. The engine sits almost touching the forewall, and it took me fits to get it in.. I ended up having to remove the distributor, and glue it back on once the body, interior and chassis was all together. I also recall having to build up the rear spring slightly so that the car did not drag in the tail. Its not a kit that just falls together. This is the second one, which came out better than the first (which I don't have pictures of). I actualy built 2...here is the Dana version I did thanks to Jason Rothbeb's donatin of parts :-)
  12. Dang Dave !!! That's wicked !!! I'd give my right ... well I'd give a lot to be able to do that !!!! So cool...I mean HOT !!!
  13. Lownslow...it's your car, and you have to do what floats your boat. What others think really does not matter. in 1:1, the car I least like to see heavily modified is any pre 84 Corvette.
  14. It's the kit wheels w/ no black wash. They are very nice wheels. Peter. I actually agree on the ride height. I debated on weather or not to put the Urethane bumpers on it or not. I mocked it up a half dozen times and always came back to the chrome bumpers, even though it sits higher than it should.
  15. I finished this up recently for the Spotlight Cuda build off.
  16. I enjoyed this one. Tamiya British Green. This was a fun little build and one you don't see built often. and in a diggerent background color
  17. That's A cool pic. I see the subject (Lambo Diablo) so I assume that must have been like 1990. Right ? I built the same kit but I figure I might have been 25 :-) Here is me building a 78 Corvette in 1978. I would have been just 14. The goofy look was...well... my goofy face LOL
  18. Nice job on that one....I really like that and the color od sooooo blue ! nicely done.
  19. Nobody makes better aftermarket parts than Norm. Everything he does is top notch. Arrowhead does nice work as well, and I swear by their pre wired distributors and aluminum machined parts... but nobody does better resin parts than Norm. NOBODY..
  20. WOW...how sweet is that ?? !!
  21. Some m ore progress,
  22. Once again I am blown away ! Great stuff as always Bill.
  23. "Nekkid after a date w/stripper" Well one can only hope so LOL Sorry I could not resist. I choked on my coffee whe I read that. You may not have intended it funny, but I got a kick out of it. Oh...the model looks great. A friend many years ago (high school) drove a 74 Caprice 2 door. He drove it several years until he later bought an Impala SS....whatever year they were out.
