  1. I think only Steve actually answered your question lol It's a good kit. What Steve said about the front is true. Also, the front wheels stick out of the wheel wells, so you have to fiddle with the assembly to get the wheels to sit properly in the wheel wells.
  2. Thanks for the kind words on the model Guys. The Decals are actually from Keith Marks.
  3. Great models. But I also have to say that the photography is just as outstanding. I'd love to see your set up...are the pics taken outside ? They are just about the clearest, most well focused model pics I've ever seen.
  4. Sounds like a cool job for sure .. Maybe even a dream job... hmmmm. Can't say I have all of the qualifications, but that's going to be a hard person to find in any one individual. Whoever said that the person needs to focus on the future of the hobby and not reviving the past is so right. Sure would be nice to get younger people interested. I am convinced its not video games and all that other electronic stuff either. It's fast food mentality...everyone wants stuff fast and does not want to have to work at it. How many of you pop popcorn on the stove anymore ? hahha.... very few. It makes better popcorn...but its a not quick. Ramble ramble I wish whoever lands this job all the best. If I lived in the area I'd probably apply
  5. My latest completion
  6. some progress
  7. Here is my latest build. It's the Revell kit, MCW paint, testors one coat clear decanted and airbrushed.
  8. I LOVE IT !!!!!! What a neat twist on that car. Very nice and well done piece of ###### (and I mean that in a good way lol). Very realistic.
  9. Jon Cole has a great 40 chevy with lugnuts he made out of cut wafers of hex plartic rod. They look totally accurate. PLus you can get the stuff cheap.
  10. Little Vinny was in show and tell adn said "my dad was painting the house, he fell off the ladder and broke his ass. The teacher said "don't say ass Vinny, say rectum". And Vinnny said... rectum? it darn near killed him ! haha
  11. NOrm, definitely makes the best red wall and white walls IMHO. I like the hard resin. nice paint...
  12. Happily sawing this one apart...the doors presented quite a few unforseen challenges. I had to take quite a bit off of the upper part of chassis for the hinges to work (they were hitting and the door stuck open). Now its onto building the door jambs before I move onto the other side.
  13. LOL well you definitely have talent now !
  14. What lee said. I thin with regular Wal Mart thinner at probably 60% thinner. Like Lee said, you will find it takes more coats to cover than a lacquer "paint". It dries extremely fast, but always looks dull prior to clear. But once you clear, the color pops.
  15. NICE ! I recently bought one (Fijimi as well) and I plan top paint it yellow too. Definitely a better looking car in yellow. What is the paint that you used ? Very nice build ! Now I have a hankering to start mine LOL
  16. Tommy... that is one spectacular build !!!!
  17. OOH that's a beautiful Cida !
  18. Nope no opening doors on this one Jon I hope to be at Classic Plastic. Right now it looks like I will be there.
  19. I agree Billy. Only problem is that there is no more room They are as far in as they can go. There is a lot more room in the front wheel wells than there is in the rear. It can't be even a millimeter from the wheel-tire touching the inner wheel well.
  20. Some of you who are "bi-boardal" may have seen this one already The Twister verison similar to a few I've seen on the internet.
  21. Definitely nifty !
  22. WOW what a great conversion. What chassis did you use ? It looks like it came like that, straignt that out of the box . What a nice looking model ! Way back in the 80's I had a 73 Cutlass (350) and it really was a great car. I had (have lol) a blind friend that used to call it the luxury mobile because it rode so nice. I often thought about making it into a clone 442 but I already had a weekend car and this really was my daaily driver, so I had to drive it...and I did. into the ground.... :-) Nice work on that one. JJ
  23. WOW...now I call that paint work TALENT !!!!
